Interesting theory, and has some merit - but woooooooooefully simplified, especially in his evaluation as to what women look for (unless 90% of all women I know are very, very good liars).

hahaha so true, i cant recall having ANY female friends who i didnt have any intention of having sex with. I only really ever had one attractive female friend, and i had sex with her anyways

but in a friendly way....errr
I guess this isnt true with gay dudes though, they seem to have OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of female friends, but i guess they view them as we view the same sex, or something.

Meh, the ladder theory is lame. It's just a perpetuation of stereotypes, not an honest attempt to explain gender relations. Maybe if he weren't so adamant that it applies to 99.9% of ALL men and women, it would have more validity.

Very very close to the truth. Needs a little refinement, though.
When I was much younger, my brother would tell me "how to get laid" and his ideas were very similar to the ladder theory. I used to think he was just a drunken redneck asshole.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that
he was getting laid ten times more often than I was!!
A few years ago, he and I happened to go through divorces at about the same time and we began to hang out a lot for the first time since we were teenagers.
As I watched him work his stuff when we were out, I realized just how successful he was compared to me. So I began to mimic him. Being a more naturally observant and considerate person than him, I quickly learned through a little experimentation how to improve on his techniques.
The results were incredible.
Un-fuckin-believable, even.
The most astounding part was that it was usually MUCH easier to get laid by women already in a committed relationship than totally single women (at least in a bar scene).
While I was happy to learn just how easy it was to get laid, on the other hand I was also very disappointed in just how low my opinion of women had fallen.
Fortunately for me, I met the most wonderful woman I could ever hope to meet. Not that I was looking for a significant other, mind you. I was enjoying myself quite nicely playing my role and getting laid on a very frequent basis. It's just that she was far too good for me to dismiss as just another girl. I guess you could say that she is high on my ladder.
After almost two years of dating/engagement, we were married about a week and a half ago, March 20 2004 (first day of spring).
Although I love her dearly and respect her more than any woman I have ever met, she, too, fell for the "outlaw biker" routine...at least initially

There are some accurate parts in that, but a lot of it is way off. Its full of generalizations and stereotype. Pretty interesting and funny read though.

It's truer than a lot of women would like to admit.
I know this girl, very beautiful, who moved in with this rich guy because he bought her stuff. She was actually suprised when this guy kicked her to the curb for a younger model 2 years later.
I will say this doesn't apply to 99.9% of women. I know for a fact that more than .01% of women are lesbians.
