Ok, I have Windows XP Pro. I use Nero to burn my data CDs. I also have access to Alchohol 120% to burn images etc.

I have CD-Rs that I have burnt images of 830MB. Now I have this DivX file that is 733ish MB. I am trying to burn it onto these CD-Rs with Nero. Usually with large files like this I get a message that Nero will have to finallize the burn to fit all the information on the CD. I click on OK and it burns fine.

This time, I am simply getting a message saying I do not have enough room to burn onto this disc.

I looked into the Nero advanced options and tried setting it up to overburn. It still will not burn. It does not even start the process. I tried a couple of those options. It has not worked.

Does anyone know which options to select to let me burn onto the disc regardless of the calculations the program takes to see if it will fit on the CD. I do not mind downloading a different program to burn.

How do I go about taking 1 DivX file and cropping it into 2 files. Does anyone have a good program they use for this or even just have a link of a website with good info on how to do this.

I think Overburn has to be supported by the drive. Not all drives do from what I can remember.

Ok, I found a program to split my AVI file in 2.


However, the thing is with overburning it seems Nero was still doing the calculations before even attempting to overburn. So I'm assuming we have not even reached the point of my burner being able to overburn or not.

So I am basicly looking for an option that would be in the lines of Nero shutup - stop calculating available space and just burn the damn CD.
