He will be remembered as the big white guy who fearlessly caught passes over the middle, then getting fucking crunched. Of course, more often than not, he got up holding the ball. This guy was such a game maker on 3rd down.

He will certainly be missed by Denver players and fans, but he sure leaves a lot to remember. :)

He was everything that Jay Schroeder isn't and them some. It sucks he had to go out as an injury riddle season rather than a pro bowl season.

This guy was money for me a couple years ago on a couple fantasy teams. He was a good player with great hands that used to catch almost anything thrown his way. I hope Lelie can step up and prove soem of teh hype they have been claiming of him.

I remember on 9/10/01 when the Broncos were playing in a Monday night game and my buddy who had McCaffery on his Fantasy Football team was watching the game with me and a couple other people. At one point, I was like "Check this out, Easy Ed is going to break his leg". They threw the ball to him and "SNAP!" it broke. Everyone looked at me like I had the devil in me, I still don't know where I got that premonition!

He was a good player, sad to see him go.

And Xz, at least the Lions released Schroeder. I <3 Mariucci.

Ed was one of my favorite players when he came up with the G-Men, and I was pissed they never used him the way he should have been used.. and then let him get away to just become a star.

Was great seeing a tall goofy white guy succeed at the WR position... it is a shame to see him go.

We still have Joe Jurevicius to carry on the tradition of goofy white posession receivers.

The only other white receiver I can think of atm is Steve Largent, although his career was quite noteworthy! :P

I just hope Sharpe decides to keep playing! It would suck to lose two sure-hands type of receivers at once.

Agreed masteen, Joe Jurevicius made some absolutely ridiculous catches last year and in the superbowl before that.

And to think he was once a Giant as well.
