if your looking for orchestral, or piano, hell any 'classical' music, make sure you do some light research into orchestras/performers/ensembles
as a performance of any large scale work varies HUGELY, not to mention the classical world has its 'boy bands' too that ham everything up

Heh Kriista, Coatlicue probably has more knowledge about modern classical performers than the rest of the board put together

a lot of orchestras really need the money they get from their record deals.
you should buy the CDs =).

I am a classical performer, trained in the arts since the tender age of 6
I am looking for recordings of band/symphonic band compilations. Some are "old school classical" some are modern. Specificially:
La Gazza Ladra - Rossini
Sonoran Desert Holiday - Nelson
Profanation (don't know the composer)
Tam O'Shanter - Malcom Arnold
a good recording of Lincolnshire Posey - Granger
Armenian Dances - Reed
Francesca da Rimini - Tchaikovsky
I have a performance in April and I'd like to hear actual recordings, it helps me to listen to recordings so I can get a feel for the music.
Thanks for any help!
*huggles* Drolgin!!

I probably have the biggest classical library in my state

It's so hard to find recordings of what I need though, which is why I ask others

Hell, I'd be more than happy to buy the CD if anyone can lead me to them!
