Last time I checked, Australia isn't in Europe.
And Euros call American boring, not gay.

That's rich... soccer fans calling real football boring.

Well actually, the reason it is called boring is all the breaks. Any sport that actually implements commercoal breaks.. well.. I find that pretty sad
Most European sports are very flowing with few breaks, so I can understand how american football can be called boring (I actually like it though, just talking from an in-general perspective).

Yes, they do flow up and down the field 17,000 times a game. During 8 of those flows, a shot is taken. Wow, the excitement.

I'd rather watch a Premier League game over any American football.
Hell, even Canadian football is more entertaining than the NFL.
That's not to say, I don't enjoy the NFL... It's still a good show.

A good soccer game can be fun to watch. A bad one is boring as hell though, but the same things could be said about most other sports. Personally, I'd rather watch 3 soccer games than 1 baseball game, but that's just me..

The whole reason of posting the article was for people to learn how the court system explains "The Taint"

If you don't like a sport, nobody cares. If there's a conversation about the Pan-Am Water Polo Games and you think water polo is for pussies, stfu and click on the next thread. We don't need someone chiming in on every thread about how they dislike some sport.

I think a lot of people don't appreciate the amount of skill, coordination and conditioning it takes to play soccer. It looks far, far easier than it really is. (I played for 11 years, so I know. stfu!)

Um, this thread aint really about sports anyway... it's about some dude sticking his finger up some other guys anus.

I think Suev posted that more to do with the fact that in the last two weeks, any sport thread that wasn't about football had at least one, mostly two people just saying, blah blah blah, just die, this sport sucks...give me football.
Paraphrased obviously.
Ok, so you hate baseball, soccer, hockey, and only tolerate basketball. We get the fucking picture.

I played soccer for 25 years, from college to semi pro and I love to watch it. That said I understand how someone that has not played hates watching the game. Soccer is a game with low scoring and unfortunately LOTS of dives by players.
There are lots of things going on "inside" the game but do to the lack of stoppage it is hard to explain everything going on away from the ball. The fact that the USA has just recently became competitive also has hurt it.
It is not going to help any sport when players are biting nutsacks after scoring, or sticking fingers in assholes and some of the other recent events that have happened in soccer. I will continue to watch the sport, I played it until it destroyed my knees and I love the sport. If you do not like it, I understand, but it does not make it a bad sport, or less important to those of us that do enjoy it.
And for all you Anna Pornakova fans out there, I would take Heather Mitts over her any day...

I went to a college rugby game last year at the urging of some friends and because I thought it sounded interesting since I am such an American football nut. I could not figure out what was going on at all with that game though and left after about 20 minutes. I just couldn't see the point at all.

World Cup > *
period. there is no debate. Anybody who thinks otherwise probably spends his weekends talking about how the Enterprise is cooler than the Millenium Falcon while having unsanded fenceposts rammed up his rectum
at 4:30 in the morning i woke up my wife and neighbors and called my friend when that one went in!
this next one, just awesome...
and you got to love the crazy dutch kid:

only the World Cup Final could produce the following as well:
The peoples of Europe embracing the peoples of South America
