NHL lost $273 million last year

I read some of the numbers, about the NHL spending 75% of their total revenue on players vs 63% for the NFL, 64% for MLB and 58% for the NBA and it astounds me. I think there a lot of stupid and inept business people in positions of power in the NHL and various teams, but I also think the NHLPA also needs to address the fact that while things may be worse then they have thought/presented. 19 teams losing money vs 11 showing any profit... and the league as a whole losing 272 million... I wonder when the new professional hockey league will be formed
