I'm heading to Tokyo, Japan for about 10 days in February. Anyone have any recommendations of what I should definately not miss? And don't start with the massage parlors, my wife is going too :)-

Goto some Casinos. You will probably laugh your ass off! While slot machines here are like "ker-plunk, ker-plunk, ding ding" the slots in Japan are like "BLING BLING BLEEBLEWHEEP DING DIDDALY DO!"

That's the one thing not to miss, the subtle differences on things both nations enjoy :)

ROPUNGI!~!!

Is a fucking blast and not to be missed.

Its a shame your going in the winter, during the summer you can climb Mt. Fuji which is an experience you:
A. Will NEVER want to do again
B. Will always be glad you did it once.

Also:
Hit up Ginza the shopping district your wife will dig that.

Damn there are just so many things to do there I dont even know where to begin.
Oh and Homeworks = some of the best food evah!!\

edit: Will add some Tokyo and Fuji picks soon as my wife emails them to me.

Fuji summit/crater:

Fuji stick is a must! Little guys/gals in huts brand your stick with elevation and markings on the way up at stations. Make sure if you ever try it to NOT take to much stuff with you. There is no where and no way to discard trash so anything you take up with you, comes back down with you.

Fuji is definately not something to miss, but be ready for a long hike up to the top!

The view from the top is nothing short of spectacular! The sleeping quarters at the top aren't so great though :(

Oh, don't forget to buy the walking stick... I still have mine, and get the brands too every 250 meters. Great memories! :D

I lived there about 16 years ago. The Tokyo Tower is taller that the Eifel Tower by a few feet and has a bowling alley underneath it. Go to the Ropongi district and you will find the Hard Rock Cafe. It has a giant concrete King Kong hanging off the side of it. It has moving eyes that look into the cafe.

Many of the big events are held at the Egg now but you should stop by and see Budokan. It is built much like a Japanese castle. The trains are a blast as well.

I am envious. I really miss that country.

Those casinos are Pachinko Parlors.
