Now that football season is over, its time to turn attention toward college hoops. Tonight theres a big clash between Cincinnati and Louisville. Ranked 5 and 6 in both polls. Cincinnati Undefeated 13-0. Louisville riding a 13 game winning streak at 13-1. Both teams have nearly identical stats.

Should be a great game! Hopefully Cincinnati is able to overcome this biggest of hurdles to propel them to an undefeated regular season record!

College basketball doesn't really matter until the end of march. :P

March Madness rules! I was first introduced to it when I went to UT-San Antonio and they surprisingly made it there. Entire school went nuts, the professors dropped classes because they wanted to watch games etc. Then of course here at Kent State the entire town went crazy when they made it to the Elite Eight.

March Madness proves how fun and excellent a play-off can be in college sports. It simply rules.

Joining the ACC is going to totally fuck Miami's basketball program. They're going to go from a legit title contender to a perennial also-ran. Thankfully, they're going to do the same thing to FSU in football!

Big East is looking mighty competitive this year as well. The UConn vs. Pitt game was quite good especially for being in the first half of the season. Syracuse is looking awesome as well. Hell, even Seton Hall, Providence, and (holy shitballs) Rutgers look good.

It's no ACC mind you(but then, what really is), but it's still pretty tough

Miami is joining the ACC for football bling.

who cares if it hurts their mediocre hoops program. i happen to think it will help. now that they have an on-campus arena, i think the miami program will be improving a lot with student support, etc.

Don't count on it Voro. No offense to you, but the majority of your Miami fans are such fair-weather fucks it makes me sick. Couple of old fashioned ass-rapings at the hands of powerhouse teams like Duke, UNC, or Wake, and I'll be suprised if the house gets half full.

with the addition of Louisville, Marquette, and Xavier (?) the Big East will be the top conference with in the next three years, if not next.

oh yeah, good thing no one betted me on that game. :)

Big East is adding Lousville, Marquette, Cincinnati, S Florida and I believe Depaul.

Big East will be an absolute powerhouse when that happens.

UConn
Pitt
Syracuse
Cinti
Louisville
Marquette

Those teams alone will match any conference in the country.
Now the question is if theyll retain their BCS status. Losing Miami, BC, and Va Tech. destroys their football stature. And adding Cinti, Louisville, and S Florida doesnt do too much to bolster themselves.

I didnt see your bet in time Zam. Thank God! Cinti was an absolute embarrassment! People think they played well in the first half, but they didnt. They played like shit the entire game. I had to turn away from the atrocity in the 2nd half

The USF Bulls have come a long way in a very short period of time. That school is very dedicated to improving all of it's athletic programs. I'm not saying that they're gonna light the Big East on fire, but count on them to be competitive.

Give Villanueva another 2 months and he's pure money, add Okafor (this years #1 draft pick) Gorden and the rest, hell their 9th man could start for most NCAA teams, Uconn can only beat themselves (see the NC game and turnovers in first half).
