That vid post from Kwon totally revived my desire to listen to some trance tracks. If anyone has some recommendations of CDs/Sets/Remixes/Singles/Covers/Collaborations that they want to share, please please please do. I'm going to be FTP/IRC/Kazaa/Gnutella/Oth'ing it up all this week for any recommendations and try to build up a pretty good library.

Past favs:
Robert Miles
Sash
Tiesto
BT
Darude
Etype

And more, but I can't remember because it's been so long. I know those are all the "trendy" artists to listen to, but that's all I really had access to. By all means, please help by recommending your favorites.

Hallucinogen ( Basicly the best there is in the scene solo artist wise, he does have a bunch of side projects tho.. like shpongle with rajaram.. They dont call him the Hallucigenious for nothing )
Infected mushroom ( Basicly the best there is in the scene groupwise )
Son kite
Skazi
Koxbox
Yahel ( Try looking for Yahel - For the people if your looking for a really ibiza feely tune )
Prana
Logic Bomb ( Try Logic bomb - Drop by any time, for some familiar samples (lotr):D )
Digital karma
Cosmosis
Space cat
Hux flux
Psychaos
Astrix
Growling mad scientists
Juno reactor
Hara gobi
Hujaboy
Talamasca
Chi-AD
Etnica
Alien project
Absolum
Space tribe
Doof
Atmos
Oforia
Haldolium
Astral projection

Thats a few i can name right out of my head.. but i suspect your looking for something with OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS more Midterranian feel to it? Am i right?

You might wanna try Yahel and Astral projection then.. since OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of the european trance scene is very progressive and psy influenced..

( oops, missed the part were you wanted releases and not groups hehe, well atleast you got some group recommendations here )

And looking at emmers post i see that the american/european scen differs quite drastically..

Oh well.. here are some new album recommendations..

VA-Tweakers-CD-2004-BPM

Kiwa_-_RetroActive-(Promo)-2004-PsyCZ

Overlap_Project_-_6th_Sense-2004-MYCEL

The_Crystal_Method-Legion_Of_Boom-ADVANCE-2004-pH

VA_-_Psionic_earth-2004-PsyCZ

and Some releases from 2003 you might want to check out is:

1200_micrograms_-_Heroes_of_the_imagination-PROPER-2003-MYCEL

1200_mics-LSD-Remixes-2003-BPM

Astral_projection_-_Let_there_be_light-RETAIL_Vinyl-2003-HSE

And if the 1200 mics albums is to your liking you really have to get the album:

1200 mics - 1200 micrograms.. Possibly the best trance album ever made.

( Notice these are all the latest proper release names.. you might also have luck trying to find other releases )

yeah astral projection is pretty cool if you are into hardcore trance

plus they get kudos for mixing in quotes from dune, star trek and battlestar galactica, and if you play a monk you have to hail one for your epic

Actually Astral is quite soft by european standards ^_^.. Try Hux flux if you want some really psyish swedish foreststomping trance :D

Sweet recommendations, thanks.

Personally, I have a very broad taste in sounds. I love listening to cultural sounding music, like mediterranian for example. More than that however, I am looking for solid songs and albums that really bring energy and vibe and life to the sounds. I remember the first time I listened to Robert Miles' 23AM album. I want to try an recapture that feeling on a broader scope.

I'm just looking for recommendations of good trance tracks that I can listen to on the way to work or while playing EQ.. etc. etc. etc.

I really welcome the european/world recommendations. I want to have a broad scope library.

Thanks guys.

I'm still trying to FIND most of this stuff.

If anyone has a url to a search engine or torrent search or P2P program that people are actually on, let me know, please.

Anything and everything you've got, I'm interested in. I just need to find a good way to transfer it.

If you know of a good P2P program or direct link program that I can leech a little off of you, I'd be forever grateful.
