Hey guys, I'm wrapping up the contract with the Rio here in a week or so.

Here's the plan so far.

April 1-4 at the Rio in Las Vegas with a Fan Faire Rate of $134 a night.

You can't book rooms or anything yet, I'll let you know when its golden.

Who's in? Besides that Swede Drolgin?

I'll be there double-fisting it like Shaerra after a hot date.

Bakara & I are hoping to be there. Like others, we need to look at finances over the next month. We just bought a house, I'm self-employed, and Bakara may be self-employed himself soon, so no telling what could happen. So far so good though!

I'm just sad that we won't have Quarks...

Considering the same rates at the Rio for the same dates = $200-$230 per night, I think that's a bargain for where the Rio is in Vegas.

Not sure if I'm going or not yet, could use the AA Advantage miles though

that they might wash the bedspread such that it isnt a primordial soup of boozehounds, whores, and degenerate gamblers....a teaming sea of DNA samples that if ever tapped into could solve at least 15 FBI cases alone.

seriously don't fuckin stay in a cheap ass hotel in Vegas. i did it once...all i will say is my lampshade had bloodstains....

Seeing as apr 1-4 is over the weekend, and prices on the rooms skyrocket on weekends regularly.. can we assume that the $135 / night for FF people will be static and be the same for the 4 nights, or can we expect different rates each night?

From previous experience, the rate will be static through the Fan Faire - $134 a night. I imagine tax is not included in this rate, though I am not sure for sure.

Last year in Vegas the hotel held the rate a few days before and a few days after the event in case anyone wished to stay longer. I imagine Vannoth/Saiphos will let us know if this is the case at the Rio once he finalized the contracts.

Yes the $134 rate will be static and you'll be able to get that rate 3 days before and 3 days after the event. Same prices over the weekend. Should be getting the final contract today and sending it up for signing.

When you say 3 days before, do you mean 3 days before Thursday or Friday? Sorry to be so nit-picky but Bakara and I plan on spending almost a week there.

At Rio, the showers have windows into the main suite!

And couches for ppl too drunk or too broke to pay for one.

Avestan and I made poor Temg sleep on the couch after which he promptly went downstairs and lost for two hours straight at a $25 dollar table.

We did see Penn & Teller however, whom I highly recommend. Hm, or was it Carlin? I get those trips mixed up.

Vegas is fun!
