*AN* association. I know it's off topic (incidently, I have no interest in clicking that link) but doesn't it just feel wrong forcing your mouth to say "a association"? It feels like I'm verbally tripping. It's like you're stuttering. This isn't meant to target you out specifically, that's just a bonus side effect to it all, I just see this day after day by people who are theoretically english speaking born and bred and it just boggles me.

I don't pick on English or writing skills much because, well, if someone wants to sound dumb then it is up to them...and sometimes that someone is me. But, a/an is so easy. As a general rule, if the word following a/an is a vowel then you use an; if not use a.
