Lion VS Hyena

First fight, female spotted hyenas(which are bigger than the male ones!) VS female lions.
Looks like the female lions were outnumbered there heh!
Later on the reinforcements arrive! King of the Savannah!

I was rooting for the hyenas...I am a dog person....
But damn that male lion was impressive....big cats are scary.
Ever see the movie, Ghost In The Darkness....good movie...

Theres a reason why they are named King!
Ive always had this long lost dream of being a care taker of lions and other large sharp tooth cat family.
After re watching again. I have to say the last part of the Lion tearing the hyena a new asshole in a lot of places has no words to describe how bad ass that is.
Also the frst daylight chase, of the hyena and the lion. You can just see the other hyenas looking on like " Man hes about to get fucked up yo....lets get the fuck out of this hood!".

The Hyenas sure used some 'hood' strategies!
The Hyena being chased by the Male Lion in the end was apparently the Queen of the Pack, the biggest female Hyena.
She broke her neck during that last fight.

I saw that special years ago. Best part about the last scene is that wasn't the dominant male, that was the number 2 male that destroyed the hyena.

Awesome documentary.
Lion > Hyena. 3 Hyena > Lion. Once hyenas reach a 3-1 ratio (may actually be 4-1...a bit foggy) they become the agressor.

The cat at the end shot was just damn right outstanding, that was a pure display of what would be one the best examples of raw powerful nature at work.
P.S. To think what a cat with that size and power could do to a lowly human if he got caught up in that.
