I think the guy is just crazy.

My thought on this is why stop at a 4-day time cube? Why not do a 16-day time cube?

Have you guys really never heard of Time Cube guy before? I just sorta took him for grated as one of those Intarweb wackos like "Mr. I can stick things in my penis," "goatse," and "Ouchy the Clown."
