I have to agree here. You know, First Impressions and all that. Using a lame name was enough to annoy me from the get go(not saying mine is the best either). People should lurk before they jump headlong into this board.

Though I enjoy the avatar I agree that it is not something people want to see while at work (well, they always want to see it but not get fired for it). Maybe NEO should have checked things out before using it.

Aranuil was right to call him out on it though he was a bit overzealous I think. I am not an Aranuil fan though I respect his ability to flame and his insight on many of the things that interest me.

Everyone should just remember (NEO listen up) for every action there is going to be a reaction. Brace yerself for it.

What gets me about guys like that is that this community, for the most part, has it's own style and substance. While we do get the occasional flamewar, the content on this board far surpasses it. We don't have, by and large, a corps of leet speaking, constantly flaming shortbus rejects that you see all over the place on, say Bnet forums and the like. Many of the people here are intelligent, insightful, sincere and rational human beings. Idiot lurkers who post here for the sake of posting anonymously, introduce NWS content where it doesn't belong and bring nothing of substance here belong on the bnet or melodramatic forums.

Xyun, as far as the NWS comment goes... I can't speak for anyone else, but I work in a call center for a computer peripheral manufacturer. All I do is answer tech support phone calls. There are times during the day where I don't get a call for upwards of 30 minutes. In that time, I am encouraged to do anything that I can to remain at my desk, should I get a call. Browsing the internet included. My limitations are NWS content and distribution of company information to anyone. His avatar, while perhaps belonging framed and in someone's living room next to the dogs playing poker picture, is not appropriate here for those of us who can and do post from work.

Hi Mike from Long Island. Your best bet is to include your in game(EQ) name in your sig so you are easily identifiable. If you have never played EQ or played on Veeshan, a brief explenation how you came to our neck of the woods is in order. The vast majority of people here do not like posts with no value to them, although a nice meet and greet post is acceptable, with no information about who you are in it, it becomes flame bait damn quick.
