in my opinion this is just another sign that tv networks put way too much stake in neilson ratings over doing their own research.

Oh my god, that is the WORST FUCKING SHOW EVER. I really want to know what inbred hillbillies were actually tuning into that crap and changing the channel when Family guy or Futurama came on.

Not only is it a boring premise, the voice "talent" on that show is the worst casting I've ever heard. There has never before been a bigger collection of annoying voices on the same show.

I don't really like king of the hill much, but hank and dale gribble are pretty funny. the rest of the cast is not though. the kid totally fucking creeps me out and his wife is like she is purposely written to be as unfunny and unentertaining as possible.

those kinds of "everyman" shows usually do pretty well though. the kind of people that liken themselves to that sort of culture are exactly the kind of people who watch tv all fucking day and spend their entire mediocre paycheck on stupid shit at wal-mart.

I gave it a chance because it was from Mike Judge, who gave us the Office Space gem. I could not force myself to like it though.

King of the Hill owns, I don't know what yall are thinking. Maybe I like it because it's got a lot of Texas humor in it (notice the yall).

If only A&E would bring back Nero Wolfe too. :(

I preferred Hank Hill when he was known as Mr. Anderson on "Beavis & Butt-head."
That's them two little bastards been whacking off in my tool shed!
King of the Hill is crap. So was Nero Wolfe.

King of the Hill is the ass-end of primetime cartoons. It's a piece of shit both artistically and on entertainment value. I wish I could erase its ever existing.

I don't follow you.. I'm sure the show was originally pulled from Fox more for the static the show generated from classics like this:

Peter Griffin: Wow, I'm even better than that dad from Lost In Space!
[flashback]
Dad: We need to chart this planet. Greg, you take my 16 year old daughter out into the woods for the rest of the day. Penny, you stay with me. And Will, you and the robot go out into the uncharted wilderness and take this mincing, boy-hungry pedophile with you.

and

Quagmire: Hello there, cutie! How old are you?
Girl: Sixteen.
Quagmire: Eighteen? You're first!
Girl: MOM!
Quagmire: I like where this is going.

than the Nielson ratings... regardless of what reason they may have given :)
