So, what's your greatest fear? Thought this might make an interesting topic. Mine is growing old alone. Absolutely terrifies me. Growing old comes in second I think.

being a scuba diver i have always had a strong respect for the deep ocean, my greatest physical fear would be drifting off alone on a bad current and dieing after several days seeing nothing but water, or any other shit that can go wrong in deep sea dives, etc

another great fear would be seeing my death ahead of me,
the worst way to die imho is to be executed knowing you only have so many days, hours, minutes, seconds to live

Waking up naked in a burning building with my testicals superglued to the floor and a straight razor in my hand.

Dying. The inevitable end.

Having just celebrated a birthday last month, I recently started thinking a lot about how old I'm getting and how old those I love are getting. Knowing that they will all die one day, that there will come a time when I will no longer be able to see them, hear them...knowing that I too will die... it absolutely terrifies me.

I can't imagine not having the people I love in my life. I don't know how I would begin to cope with losing them. I know it does no good worrying about things you simply -cannot- change, but it is a frightening thought for me nonetheless.

Runner-up: Crickets. I hate those little nasty fuckers.

Getting alzheimers. I could care less about my body but if I lose my mind, shoot me please. (can joke about it but having alzheimers is the scariest thing for me personally)

My mom dying.

Anal Sex.

Probably letting down and/or losing the people I care about.

Dying like my dad and my aunt did; betrayed by their bodies.

those who know me well know that i'm absolutely terrified of spiders. scared shitless. I hate the fuckers. most of the time I go to bed at night and wonder if a spider will bite me or crawl in my nose or mouth when I'm sleeping.

On the other hand, another fear factor for me is my husband dying. I don't know what my life would be without him around and I'm terrified of the day that he dies. Xunil!!!1!!1!1!

Ah, say no more. My mother-in-law has a bad brain tumor. She is slowly but surely going down hill. Its juet terrible to see, and I can only imagine what it must be like to die like that.

Doctors.
(I get panic attacks - even at the eye doctor)

Seconded by being in a plane that is crashing.
(hate planes hate planes hate planes - every time the engine makes any noise I become convinced we're about to crash. Oh and when the plane levels off - I hate that feeling of falling)

Spiders.

Millions and thousands of spiders. Everywhere, just flooding down my street, covering houses, trees, cars people. Crawling all over me, getting under my clothes, in my mouth, my nose.

Rational fears:

Losing someone I love. I rather die myself than lose someone.

Flying in a plane - not necessarily flying since I'm ok in helicopters, it's the plane business that kills me.


Irrational fears:

Clowns

Getting hanged
Getting mauled by some large animal

when i was a little kid I saw the movie earnest does halloween and when that girl checked under her bed and found nothing then came up and the troll was behind her i freaked out. I was afraid to sleep on my side for years!

That's a hard one to answer..

Dying slowly (not years/months - but seconds, minutes, hour)
Drowning
Accidentally killing someone else
Accidentally maming someone else
Being forced to watch loved ones die
Becoming brain dead and forced to stay alive
Becoming mentally handicapped from a motorcycle accident


I used to be afraid of HIV and cancer having had family members die slowly from both.. but these days treatments are fairly good and you can live a long time with both. And I'd simply off myself before getting too horribly bad. However, becoming a vegetable scares me. I don't want Buck coming to Fuck me.

I think the only thing I'm really afraid of, is dieing with noone I know or care about around to say goodbye to.

Hights..even a friggin Ferris wheel makes my stomach hurt

Dentists....sigh..its not the drill or the damn needle ..its just sitting there in the "waiting room"...gahhhh

Rats are the worst was bit as a child on my uncles farm and scared of them ever since.

Heights even in game i freaked in Velks my guildies had a blast with that one.

Being caught by tribal peeps with similar toturing skills to the apachies or commanches, skinned alive and tortured for a week then parts eatin off and becoming human waste. Still places it happens in.

Carnies...terrifying.

I fucking hate clowns. I can't be around one without getting totally creeped out and if they focus their attention on me I freak right the fuck out.

Thanks. I'll be taking my first plane ride sometime within the next few months, and I'm not looking forward to it at all.

As for other fears, I'd have to go with losing people I love.

Extreme heights, like the CN Tower.

And spiders. *shudder*

My sister was born with a rare genetic and fatal (at the time at lease) anemia.

My fear is being a carrier and passing it on to my children.


I suppose I'll get tested for it before I have children as both my partner and I would both have to be carriers for our children to be in danger.

public restrooms and growing old with nothing but a house full of cats. i have recurring nightmares about both.

Good thing we're not the type of guild that likes to or needs to "merge" or "ally" with guild's far below us to bring about a zergfest of coat-tailling =)

There are 4 kinds of clowns: Pedophile Clowns, Psycho murderer clowns, and Raging alcoholic clowns, and then the very rare nice guy who just likes to make people happy. So in conclusion my worst fear is if I were taken by a psycho alcoholic clown who molested and tortured me and then killed me. Fucking clowns

I feel bad for clowns, so many people hate clowns with such passion, yet their entire life is devoted to bringing a smile to another's face. All they want is to paint a child's face to make them happy or make a balloon dog. If you think about it, a clown is REQUIRED to go to clown college and patent their face paint.

Its all because of movies like IT by Stephen King that ruined clowns... and for that they can remain bastards, but you gotta feel sorry for the clowns that give an honest and pure effort to make children smile for a donation of a dollar. People would sooner drive a hatchet into a clown's skull than give him or her a chance... Ever notice how people have sympathy for other people in every case BUT clowns? They're like not human or something in most people's mindsets.

settling or taking the easy path through life; never realizing potential



I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that most of my greatest fears are entirely within my own control
