I'm in need of a new monitor. Preferably a 17-18" LCD flatpanel, but a nice 19" CRT would be fine too.
Anyway. There are a RIDICULOUS amount of Dell lcd monitors sold on ebay. I've already met two people in the last two days who have friends who resell Dell stuff for cheap, but for one reason or another, they can't get me what I need. So I figure someone who reads this forum has to have some sort of hookup, and thus I shamelessly post this. If you have, or know someone who has the hookup on lcds, pm me and I'll

you forever.
kthxbye

I actually prefer IBM monitors and many of them are sold on ebay as well. The shape and such are much better. I have a P275 (21 inch flat screen) and its great. Had a 19 incher before. I got my P275 refurbished for 249 off ebay.

Btw...how do you clean a LCD monitor? Mine was passed down to me recently bya friend and without a user's manual. I am guessing its different to clean than my old, gigantic, indistructable '94 monitor.

you wipe it down with a dry paper towl, if its dirtier than that, you shouldn't have an lcd.

If someone could PM me an LCD hookup as well, Im looking for a 17-19" LCD with a VESA compatible mounting bracket and a DVI input. Also the faster the panel the better...

You can clean a lcd monitor with a moist paper towel too. The key word here is moist, do not let it be too wet. Never ever use normal cleaning stuff on a lcd monitor, it will ruin it.

I just got a job working for BenQ, which is a subsidiary of Acer. We manufacture some pretty nice LCD screens. I know we've got a few OEM manufactured Acer 18" screens that were from a cancelled order and are sitting in our warehouse. If anyone's interested, PM me and I'll ask about them on Monday and see if I can get them for a good price. I think they may be out of warranty though. That'd be the only downside...
