I was just curious to see if anyone else here felt the same as I do.

I have read so many flames on this board and many of them are original flames. However, I see a lot of repetitiveness in many flames that I wish would just go away.

Here are a few examples of what I find utterly useless in a flame!

1. Calling someone fat. Does this ever work to get another person angry? I just cannot see myself reading a flame directed at myself and someone calling me fat and my faces gets all red and throw my burrito at the monitor in a fit of rage!

2. Telling someone that he has an I.Q lower then .. ohhhh let's say 50. What's the point? You have no proof and quite frankly trying to lower someone by saying he has a low I.Q has been so overplayed that it does not affect people anymore.

3. Calling someone gay or making comments that his mother , father, brother, sister or dog is gay by todays standard. Nobody gives a shit anymore if you are gay or not.

4. Correcting the spelling of the other person. Who the fuck cares if he does not take the time to check every word he writes. Not everybody here has English as their first language. I find it's a last resort. ~ You are getting owned......brain kicks into default mode.. You are a fat gay person with an I.Q of 30 and you cannot spell!!!!! *crisis averted* ~

5. Making fun of somone's name and changing it into a bad or dirty word. Eg: Aslanna = ASSlanna It's too obvious!! Don't fucking post something so obvious! It's basicly saying that I can only think of anything on my own so I will take the most obvious joke that's flashing in a big red neon sign saying "oh oh - say this!!"

Now I cannot think of any other flaming no-no at the moment. Feel free to post any that you find have no weight and are lame to see in flames.


Now.... I know that someone will probably reply with a flame to me including everything I posted above. This is once again something very obvious but it's still kinda funny. So feel free to do so if you wish.

Honestly.. we haven't had a good flame thread since Netiquitte. Some have gotten close... (PE Emperor/Taly and BoW) but no.. we're not hurting for some truly innovative flames at the moment.

Depends on the person your dealing with.

In most cases I would not resort to something so childish, but with some people....best to just state the truth to them and move on. Doesn't matter if it's uncreative...not worth the time.

2. You have no women skills, never going to get laid, your a loser...whatever.

And another guideline would be to have less then 10% of your posts be flames, when the vast majority of your posts are flames, many times needless flames only to try and kill someone elses good mood, you have some problems.

Basically any flaming really makes you look like a fucking asshole and a loser. That's why I avoided it for so long, but now...eh..who cares...this board is a lost cause anyway.

I mean you have this group of like-minded individuals here that just ruin the whole forum....and they will always be here. It doesn't really matter what you say or do, eventually you either become another sheep, or your become the target.

So Anyhow, I did not start this post expecting to change anything in the flames. Just curious to see who else view some things my way.

Even old flames changed a little and directed at different people in different situations can be funny. They stop being funny and become pathetic when used as a one-liner, as if the flamer didn't have anything else to say except "And you're fat!"
