I used to have MC Hammer's cell phone number, and I would call it from time to time. Unfortunately I would always get his voicemail. He's all into Jesus now, and his outoing voicemail message was something to the effect of how we need to praise god and yadda yadda yadda. Too preachy for me.

Barry Goldwater was a Ham Radio enthusiast in his later years before he died.
One day, while I was in college in Arizona, I received a phone call. The voice came on and asked if it was me. I acknowledged him and he went on to give me a coded message. He said there were two tricycles and a skateboard in LasVegas waiting for me and then hung up.
It turns out one of my dad's friends (retired US defense attache to Pakastan) was screwing around on his ham radio in Vegas while my parents were visiting and got ahold of Barry Goldwater in Phoenix and asked him to dial me up on the phone with the message. My parents had just told him my car broke down.
Goes to show you that retired politicians really don't have much to do!

R.I.P.

Bet every one of you bastards wishes you had spoken with Fred 'Rerun' Berry before he died this week.
Which obscure icon will be next? Fred Savage? Anson Williams? Donnie Most? Tony Dow?
Oh the humanity!

I have had several...
In 1979 I met Reggie Jackson in a Shop Rite in Staten Island, NY.
In 1985 I met Bryan Adams in Heathrow Airport in London while waiting for a connecting flight to Berlin.
In 1992 I had backstage passes to a U2 concert at Hershey Arena and I got to meet everyone but Larry Mullens.
That same year, the industrial band I was in was the opening act for the band Live. We opened for them in York, PA at the college.
I worked for Michael's Music in Bloomsburg, PA...where I lived...and I got to play guitar with Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) and sell John Denver guitar strings and got him to autograph my strap (was there playing for the Bloomsburg Fair)
In 1999 my wife and went back to Scotland (where I am from originally) and got to come within 10 feet of the Queen as well as Sean Connery...as they were walking into parliament in Edinburgh.

I literally bumped into Keanu Reeves in New York. We'd just picked up our friend who was released from police custody after his arrainment, and he was talking animatedly about his experiences, so neither he nor the third guy there saw Keanu as he bumped into me, said 'I'm sorry' and walked on.
Oh and I once grabbed Renée Toft Simonsen (THE FACE OF THE 80s!!!)'s ass when I was drunk!

Other than that, I worked at a virtual Nascar driving simulator thingy about 5 years ago where I met Dale Earnhardt, DE Jr., Michael Waltrip, and Kenny Irwin.

I met Bruce Springsteen in a Karaoke Bar in London!!
I didn't realize it was him at first and was talking with my friend and we were commenting how well the guy singing was doing. It was only later when he barreled into me when edging his way to the bar and I turned to glare angrily that I noticed who he was. The bartender laughed at me for being so slow to realize who he was.
He did a few more songs a bit later - it was kinda cool.
I never really ran into any other celebrity - though my desire to stalk Keanu Reeves this summer when he was filming down the street from my house was huge. I resisted out of laziness

That guy is a crack up. He was supposed to give a speech at our university and showed up 30 mintues late. He was drunk as a skunk and all he did was talk about how drunk he was. The audience was booing him for most of the time.
Pretty funny I thought. He really doesn't give a damn.

I think Ky does this just to troll me, but here goes:
The word (well, spelling) he is looking for is
rode
Rided is not a word;
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=rided
Not every verb in the english language can be made past-tense by adding a fucking e-fucking-d as a suffix.
Thank you.
