[Request]: Things to do in Boston

Anyone have any suggestions for must see/do things in Boston? (Going to be there two days.)

Planning on the Fenway Park tour, and the Sam Adams brewery tour. (woo free Sam)

Staying in Lexington, so I'm certain we shall be checking out the Revolution sights that are there to see also.

Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market is a fun place to spend an afternoon. It's close by the New England Aquarium.

Yes the Big Dig sucks massively. A street you traveled on today may not be accessible, or even there, tomorrow.

Fenway Park is probably the last classic ballpark in the country. A must see.

The Freedom Trail is great for people who want to learn more about the Revolutionary War.

The USS Constitution, the last remaining US Navy "tall ship", is anchored in the Bay. While there, you can take a Boston Duck Tour, or a Booze Cruise on the Bay.

The Copley/Back Bay area has lots of shops, restaurants and clubs. The Bull and Finch, aka "Cheers", is in this area too.

There is a strip of clubs on Lansdowne Street near Fenway that offer something for everyone.

For a cheap and damned good lunch stop by Al Capone's, between the financial district and the waterfront. The subs there are unreal, $5 will feed a family of four.

Parking sucks in Boston. Driving isn't much better. Drive to a T station and take the T into the city. If you must drive into Boston, the PO Square garage is centrally located and offers very easy access into and out of the city.

Boston can be a wonderful city. Have a great time!

edit: Tufts is a wanna be Ivy that boasts a good med school and a larger than average gay population.

edit2: damn I keep thinking of more stuff.

Private school down the road from Harvard I believe. I have a friend that attends there.

EDIT: After reading Tenuvil's edit, I will note that this friend is a girl.

You're at Tufts Fes? I live about a mile away from the Somerville campus.

And I'm not a huge help for "fun things to do in Boston." My life consists of lab ---> home ---> lab... repeat. Ahh, grad school. If you are willing to spend some money, there are lots of good theater/artsy type things such as the Blue Man Group in the theater district. That's an entertaining show if you haven't seen it before.

Have fun in Boston,
Animale

Take the Green Line to Science Park. It's an interesting ride with an interesting destination.

Listen to Tenuvil, parking and driving suck. Ride the MBTA system instead.

Try to eat at least one meal at Legal Sea Foods.

I'm sorry, what college did you go to?

And for the record...out of the 5000 or so tufts undergraduate students, only about 100 recognize themselves as being gay...and that isn't counting graduate students...want to see an above average gay population at a university? Go visit Brown

A couple of things you REALLY need to see.

Go to the children's museum of science (skip the museum) and buy two tickets to the OMNI theatre. Awesome place... its an enormous move theater (Makes IMAX look gimp).

Fanuille Hall... great place for food and shopping.

Havard Square. Even if its just to hang out. Really great place to hang out, meet people, hackeysack. =)

I'd think of more... but it makes me cry. I just moved from the Boston area to NC and I miss it much!

That's the part where the rest of us get in my car and drive away. ;-)
