Hey im on my 4th shawl working towards 5th any suggestion on how to get from 26 - 130 tailoring (wihtout a buncha money).

Make a giant rabbit and roll it up to the castle doors.

buy a few stacks of mask patterns
buy or make couple stacks od metal studs (smithing)
buy few stacks of quiver patterns

head to East karana
kill spiders and lions
make and save silk swatches for later
save HQ cat pelts
save MQ cat pelts
save LQ cat pelts to make padding and sell later

combine 1 mask pattern+1silk swatch till 36
combine 1 mask pattern+1stud+1MQ pelt till 56
combine 1 quiver pattern+1 HQ cat pelt till 115

if the gap between 56 and 115 seems long buy or make some heady kiola (brewing) and
combine 1 silk swatch+1mask pattern+1heady kiola till 82, then quivers

after 115 till 135 you can do Wu's masks
1 silk swatch+4 heady kiolas+mask pattern +vial of viscous mana (enchanter level 12 can make)

A great place other than the Karanas for pelts is in Jagged Pine, keel them poachers. You get a wide variety of pelt drops, great for when youre just starting out. I found it best to move on to the next phase about 5 points from trivialing what your currently on.
You will also need to do some brewing for heady kiolas. I just started making them at 0 skill by the time I had enough successes to fill my needs they were trivial.

Um, youre missing a step- I forget the specifics since it was put in long after I had to do it the hard way, but you can use the woven mandrake combines to get tailoring to 76 or so with storebought supplies in thurgadin before you have to start using pelts and silks. Will save you 2-300 swatches. You can look up the specifics of the woven madrake combines on eqtrader. After that you can squeeze a few points out of pelts I think but then its the silk grind to 158, and even starting from 76 skill rather than the old 15 or 20 skill youre going to need around 1000 swatches I'm afraid. Its pretty brutal.
