WoW Update!

Blizzard Entertainment has announced three more playable races for World of Warcraft: Undead, Trolls, and Gnomes. The Undead and Trolls join the Orcs and Tauren as members of the Horde, and the Gnomes round out the Alliance, joining the Humans, Dwarves, and Night Elves. Three new classes have also been revealed: Priest, Rogue, and Paladin.

There are going to be arenas like in EQ. There may be areas where faction based PvP, but at most, those will only be 10% of the world.

I don't think I could play another MMORPG that wasn't PVP.
The idea of sharing a server with the same kind of people I was forced to share it with in EQ without the ability to fucking demolish them is difficult to imagine.

I agree, PVP is necessary sometimes, you can't punish your enemies on a board or through words most of the tim, more satisfying to kill them and take a valued possession to teach em a lesson.
