Who would be your first round pick in a Fantasy Football live draft?

I don't expect the Veeshan Vault League to answer this question due to it being of high strategy and all. I know I would certainly pick the Bengals Defense as my number 1. Feel free to try and steal that one from me guys.

Terrell Owens.

Guy's a dick, but he's probably the best receiver out there right now.

Marshall Faulk is healthy. #1 if you ask me

It would depend heavily on the league rules. Things like fumbles or interceptions counting against your points would influence it heavily. If you have a league where interceptions don't count against you, it would be a QB who has zero running game and will be airing it out every game. I don't think Faulk will have the type of year like he used to have.

You want a good solid pick take Marvin Harrison. No one in the history of the NFL has the stas he does from there first year.

In our league, good running backs are a rare commodity. Ricky Williams will probably go #1. I have pick #6 though, I'm thinking of Deuce McAllistor.

He was the #1 rusher in the NFC last year and I think he will probably do better this year. The Saints still have one of the most potent offenses around.

In no particular order, the top 5 picks this year have been

L Tomlinson
C Portis
R Williams
M Faulk
P Holmes

Second Tier RBs in late first to early 2nd:

D McAllister (as high as #1)
T Henry
S Alexander
E James
C Dillon
A Green

Grabbing two RBs with your first 2 picks is highly advisable as in any good league. RBs will vanish after the 2nd round. If you don't, you'll end up with someone like Stacey Mack or Onterrio Smith as your 2nd RB.

I draft 10th (10 team league) so I'm looking at two of the 2nd tiir RBs with my first 2 picks. I'm hoping for Deuce and Henry but if even one of them drops it will be nice to pair them up with E James.

After the above RBs are gone, one of the big three WRs might be considered:

M Harrison
T Owens
R Moss

After those three WR's there's a crapshoot for the next 10-14 spots so no biggie.

I don't feel good about Holmes either this year. I'm glad I'm in the 10th spot and someone else will have to take him : ) Deuce, LT, E James, Henry and Dillon are RBs I like this year. (not that I wouldn't draft RW, Faulk or Portis if I had a high draft pick : )

I like to avoid teams that split time between backs. Denver is one of them as are San Fran, Oakland, and Atlanta. You just don't know who they are going to go with on game day and that gets very frustrating.

Now that Olandis Gary has gone on to Buffalo, Portis will get the vast majority of the snaps. Aside from a rookie RB, Portis is it and should get over 300 carries, although Shanahan wants to get Portis more involved in the passing game.

Mike Anderson will get some snaps, but he a FB now and will primarily be used as a lead blocker for Portis.

Donte Stallworth will probably have a very big year if he doesn't have any hamstring problems this year.

Duece would be a solid pick as RB if he does as good or better than last year.

Tampas Deffense is the way to go on for deffense.
