Bizzare food revelations

Ok, this is a true story. The other night my son (7 years old) and I were sitting around watching TV and he said "Daddy I want dessert!" OK, I said, what do you want? (As a sidenote he lives with his mom and I get him on weekends, summer, holidays, etc. so I'm not a full time parent). He wanted ice cream. No problem, I thought...I've got a half a pint of Yarnell's Homemade Vanilla in the fridge. I put the ice cream in a bowl and brought it to him. He said "Daddy, I want topping, this is plain". I told him no prob we have Hershey's syrup and I'll go get it. Turns out it was beyond empty from the chocolate milk the previous night and I was beside myself. I told him that I didn't have a topping and he asked if he could have it with a brownie. A brownie? That's right! We had bought some cheap ole Little Debbie Brownies the week before and we had one left. I assume everyone knows about Little Debbie snacks. $1.19 for a pack of 6, 10 or 12 depending on the snack. Well I whipped that bad boy out and thought about it for a sec.... "Hey son, let me heat it up for a bit and put it on top of the ice cream so it'll be nice and warm!" 22 seconds later I pulled the little bugger from the microwave and put it on top of the ice cream. It was all melty looking and I must say it smelled pretty good. He took a bite and said "Woah, dad you gotta taste this!" Well this same sentence I have heard like 129,345,223 times before so I said "Not now, daddy isn't hungry." He insisted, so I told him of course I would, that sounds great!. OMG! It was paradise! It tasted like a homemade brownie served piping hot over the world's best ice cream! I've had those little brownies before but never heated. I must admit that I've never had the "cosmic brownies" which have little candy covered chocolates on top like I had then, but there can't be that much of a difference from the regular ones that have nuts on top. I've had lots of $5 desserts while eating out and nothing came close to the taste sensation of the ice cream and cheap ass brownie. Anyone got any similar stories? i gotta know!

try putting sugar in those little malt bottles, and make sure to wait about a minute with a paper towel, dunno if you will find them outside of florida and puerto rico though, its mostly spanish companies that make them

Eat brownies, with your gnomes. Nothing like a freshly heated brownie served with a freshly killed gnome.
