Hot damn! I wasn't exceptionally excited by Mer de Noms.. but shit, if this album sounds more like Weak and Powerless, I'm gonna have a new CD to listen to till Christmas. It's been a long time since I was excited about an upcoming album, but this one breaks that run. Can't wait. Thanks Treeus.

I must admit I like hearing Maynard's voice over a different style of guitar-driven rock. It sounds fucking great!

MJK is my favorite singer, and I like APC and they are a good side project for him, but I just hope he can get back in and record with Tool pretty quick. Waiting 6 years between albums is too long! (Salival doesn't count)
At any rate, I anticipate this album. The last one was really good.

Word on the street is that Tool already has over half of their next album written (written - not recorded) and should be recording next year after Maynard finishes touring the new APC album. So maybe, just maybe you can expect a new Tool cd roughly a year after APC's album is released.

Got it and I like it. It's different from Mer De Noms but they still stick to their style. So far just listening to it once straight through the thing that sticks out to me the most is Maynard's voice.. if you like his singing voice, you'll love the album.
EDIT: It's really good, get it, it's worth it.

Bullshit. The new APC album sucks as an album. Its a piece of shit. There's nothing to the album itself. A few songs on the record are good, Weak and Powerless and maybe Pet/Blue. The Album as a whole is a really crappy creation. Musically, there is no flavor in the album. Don't waste your money on this piece of shit CD, spend it on something more valuable like something absolutely useless.
