any thoughts on this? I saw it on Saturday and I liked it. Some of the writing kind of sucked but the movie was pretty good. Wish there was nudity though.

nudity would have been a plus, but overall..

I thought it was a very decent movie. Loved the action scenes.. and am I wrong, or did Disel do all of his own stunts?

I think he did a large number of them because he pretty much had to. Would be cool to see a blooper reel like Jackie Chan puts out at the end of his movies.

One thing I really liked was Ramstein rocking hard.

Saw it this weekend myself and the action was great.

The "fatherly" antagonism of Sam L. was kinda bullshit. But if you want action, Vin D. will give it to you.

I still liked him better in "Saving Private Ryan" and "Pitch Black". "The Fast and the Furious" was ok and now "Triple X" has put him in the top position for action films, imo.

He did most of the stunts himself, but one stuntman was killed while filming. I've heard this has hardcore action sequences, but little else. If I'm in the mood, I may catch it at the theater, but it's not at the top of my list. I'll probably just buy the DVD.

Btw, his best Movie was Iron Giant.

so you'll pay $20 for the DVD but not $7 to see it at the theaters? :P

$7 for the ticket but $4000 for the popcorn and soda. They really stick it to you at the theatre.

Besides owning the dvd allows you to things you can't in the theatre like Pause and Scene jump. I am stupid like that though, where I will be a DVD of a movie I have never seen. I have something against renting movies for some reason( read: Lazy).

Heh, one ticket...those were the days. Ever since I have been of dating age, I have never bought just one movie ticket. It is always 2, and one magical summer it was 3, but that's a whole 'nother thread ;)

So, yeah, when I go to the movies, I typically spend more than the price of a DVD. At the very least, the price difference is insignificant.

Something for the DVD nuts

ww.netflix.com

My husband and I hate running to Blockbuster every other night to get new movies so we signed up for this over thwe eb. It's $20 a month and you can keep the DVDs as long as you want to, so no late fees. They have a huge DVD collection as well and I personally really enjoy it.

Hell yeah this movie kicked ass on the action scenes! Nudity would have definitely made the flick better than it already was ;)

Yep

You mean there's people that don't take their own concessions to movies these days? Jeez. I can't remember the last time I didn't enter a theater with a bag full of convenience store stuff.

As for the movie, it was ok for a mindless action flick. Would have liked to see him use more of the new toys on the car though. The scenes in Columbia were a bit much though as far as being unbelievable and too unrealistic.

I guess it depends on the theatre you go to. I live in a moderately sized city that only has a few theatres in it and only one worth going to (just down the street and I am too lazy to travel). I suppose you could sneak some stuff in but nothing like a hot bucket of buttered/salted popcorn that just melts on the tongue. (hungry yet?)

We have a movie theatre around here, where you can bring anything in you want. And it's so damn easy to sneak people in...
