Where does the term "pissing like a race horse" come from? I thought of this question way too early in the morning pulling out of my nice and warm soft bed to take a visit to that white throne we all have to use, uttering those same words, then I realized, why do we have that phrase? Does a race horse piss differently than a normal horse, or anything else? And if so, is there a reason we want to be pissing like one, or should it be somthing that should be ostracized? :vv_chicken:

The term, i believe, comes from the fact that the Jockeys all have to piss after the race.

I dunno, but have you ever seen a horse piss?

I dunno why a race horse would be any different from a normal horse though, unless maybe they give them extra fluids before a race or something.

Piss like a racehorse

Meaning: An urgent need to urinate.
Example: Stop the car at the next tree, I have to piss like a racehorse.
Origin: Horses, it turns out, don't always feel comfortable urinating just anywhere. Show horses and racehorses spend a great deal of time in their pens and come to feel safe and secure there. They don't like to urinate outside of those pens and in many cases won't.
In fact show and racehorses are frequently returned to their pens to allow them to urinate. Hence racehorses are often walking around outside of their pens with an urgent need to urinate.

Alternatively, this phrase originated in the practice (currently illegal, I believe) of giving diuretics to racehorses. The horse would then urinate substantially and drop a few pounds in the process.

Voila! A lighter, faster, somewhat dehydrated horse.

when a horse pisses it looks like a damn water knife....the pressure with which the water comes out is great.
