Quick Meals

I was thinking people responded on the other thread I have about like frozen pre-cooked bacon and stuff...stuff I never see in my grocery store but I'm sure they have and I know I for one like to buy one new item at the grocery store each trip....
So here is my recent pick of winning grocery items from the last few months experiments.
My 5 latest favorite finds at the grocery stores:
1. Peach Propell - Gatorades Flavored water
It's good and good for you, but expensive as hell...I might look into getting a crate of it adirectly from a distributor or something. Shit I can't even find it at krogers, I have to go to a gas station and pay $2.00 a bottle. It says a bottle is 3 servings...but it's really only 1 so we will say a bottle is 30 calories...and it had like 75% of 3 different vitamins and amounts of others.
2. Lloyd's Honey BBQ Pork (it's usually near the deli in a small bucket)
It's quick to make (2 mins in microwave then spoon it on a bun) and it tasted pretty damn good. It says 90 calories, 2g fat(0.5 Saurated) 7g protein...but it also said 10 servings per container and I only got 8 sandwiches from it, and I ate 2 at a time lol.....and then you have the bun of course.
3. Tai Pei brand Chicken Fried Rice (frozen foods, black chinese take out box)
Not as good for you as uncle ben's rice bowl, but man this was the best frozen chinese I ever had......do not buy the beef and broccoli tho...it had oyster sauce and it was nasty. I'd give you the stats but Krogers WAS OUT OF STOCK THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS.
4. Antioch Famrs breaded Chicken with Broccoli and Cheese on the inside...It took like 30 mins in the toaster oven....this is probably the least bachelor friendly item I listed. 300 calories, 13g fat (4.5 saturated) 18g carbs, 25g protein....that's actually not looking to be that bad for you...I would have guessed worse. I got it at meijers
5. Healthy Choice Fettichini Alfredo (frozen foods, green box)
Although I have to admit the portion could use a slight tweak, it's too small....it tastes decent and it's nice to have a quick pasta side dish with no work or clean-up. 280calories, 7g fat, 40g carbs, 12g protein
Honorable mention: Slim Fast Ice Cream bar lol....130calories,1g fat (0.5g saturated), 27g carbs, 3g protein.
----------------------------------------------------
So has anyone else found a recent grocery item that was good?
You don't need to put down the nutritional content....I did that because I'm a freak.
I mean mention it even if you think it's stupid, for all we know there might be someone here who never had hormel chili, dinty moore beef stew, or ramen noodles lol.

The absolute best thing ever - Yoplait Nouriche yogurt smoothies. There are several flavors, my favorites are the Mixed Berry and Raspberry, although I've tried the Peach as well and it's good too. Incredibly good for you - no fat, 6g fiber, 10g protein, 25% of lots of vitamins, 290 calories and filling. I have one for breakfast and one for lunch every day. yummies! Less than $2.00 a bottle, they fly off the shelves, it's sometimes hard to find them.

I eat the hot pockets sometimes, I always keep 3 boxes of them in the freezer for emergencies*.
*Emergency: Too lazy to go to the grocery store.
I'll try the yoplait smoothies, sounds good.
Spicy is good, BUT that's not BBQ sauce....it's a dish we eat down here in the south called BBQ, and I haven't seen it in a sicy version, just original and honey...and orginal isn't spicy.
If you like spicy stuff, go for Chi Chi's Hot salsa....I've tried maybe 50 types of salsa so far and that was the hottest. I really didn't expect it from a restaurant chain, I was pleasently surprised. Most of the salsa's are not even offered in "Hot" and if they are it's really a decent Medium, but chi chi's did it right. And it's not as sugary as the rest of the brands either...I hate sugary salsa...now if only I can find some good tortilla chips like you get in actual restaurants...all the ones in the store are different, for example they are all really thick. That alters the taste dramatically for me...I keep looking for really good tortilla chips and so far the best I found I think is called "Que Pasa" which I think translates to "What's up?" lol.
I love hot food, so far the only thing that's really been too hot for me was the Blazing Sauce at BW's I mean....I ate the whole meal all 3 times I ordered it (Chicken Buffalitos)...but I don't think I will order it again, it's just too hot to enjoy...I've moved down to the next lowest on the chart. Wild or Hot I forget what it's called. The hottest sauce at hooters is a joke.

Michelina's - Great selection and even better price. (.84 per meal)
Smart One's - Surprisingly very good for a 'healthy' meal.
Oodles of Noodles - This just goes without saying.

Those who believe molasses or **shudder** honey is part of a BBQ sauce should be staked out over an anthill and doused in that shit.

Two bags of chicken flavored Ramen noodles, trumped with a can of cream of chicken soup.
Enough to keep you full for 14 hours, makes in 2 minutes, all for the cost of a 20oz softdrink.

Moved out like 7 years ago, finished college 3 years ago while working odd jobs.
Heres my progression
Then:
Ramen Noodles
Kraft Mac-n-Cheese (only Kraft)
Hamburger Helper
Vienna Sausage
Frozen dollars pizzas
Lipton noodles
Sandwiches
Hot dogs
Now:
Hot Pockets
Campbells Chunky
Frozen 2-3 dollar pizzas (sometimes Digiornos or however its spelled)
Sandwiches
Hot dogs
Damn progression is slow.

Here are some more.
Campbells Soup - Usually chicken noodle
Sandwiches - Matched with BBQ Baked Lays
Velveeta Shells - Better than Kraft (YES!)
Stuffing - My personal kryptonite -- And healthy!! (if you work out)
Foreman Grill - Makes anything really fucking fast. Especially grilled cheese!

You're calling OHIO the SOUTH? I have never in my existence encountered honey bbq. I hope to never do.
Also, I would like to add to the list of ramen recipes.
1 package of ramen, and 1/4 cup of rice is enough to feed 2 men to pop levels. If you know how to use herbs and spices, you can really dress it up to taste decent. And if you want to go all the way...having meatballs or strips of chicken added to their appropriately flavored ramen counterparts can make a decent enough meal for any dorm gathering.
Leave out the meat and you're still spending nearly negative amounts of money on the meal.

Tyson chicken nuggets, 15 mins in toaster oven. Once done pour melted butter and hot sauce over them, instant boneless buffalo chicken wings.
You can control how hot you get them, I like them better than the ones already spiced.

Well Cincinatti Ohio is where I put I am from, but I moved here from Atlanta, GA....and besides I'm really currently in Kentucky, right next to the cincinatti Airport which happens to be in Kentucky.
Velveeta is the only Mac and Cheese.
Melrin or whomever was talking about progression.....from your description I'd say your 25'ish? It will take a couple more years until you start really having a desire to cook meals for people and stuff, at your age everyone still wants to eat out at bar type places, including on dates.
But if your wise you will start learning to cook a few simple meals now so your ahead of the game.

i've had insanity and ground zero, both are fucking incredible, i love hot stuff and at the mall of america here in the twin cities there is a hot sauces/foods/seasonings store that sells this stuff to people over 18 with a valid ID

anyways they wiped it on a chip using a toothpick and i ate that the first time, hour and 20 minutes later, after eating a footlong sub and 2 large rootbeers i was still salivating, hyperventilating, and curled up in a fetal position against the wall...bout a year later i went for round #2 with ground zero and did a little better since i knew what was coming and made sure i didn't get too much under my tongue...but this stuff is like acid, it just spreads in your mouth and produces an amazing sensation...first time i was there they had some chick pass out and get taken out by some paras

After all the fucking ramen we ate when we lived together. I will not eat a single drop ever again. No matter what you do to it, IT WONT GET BETTER. lol It makes me twitch just thinking of the smell.

foreman grill is god for quick, single serving meals. you can throw anything on that fucker and it's done in like 15 minutes. frozen chicken, pork chop, baby llama, pet frog, screwdriver, whatever - *POOF* cooked!

English Muffin Pizzas are the best! And so amazingly simple to make - always surprises me that no one ever makes them (outside of my immediate family, you're the first I have ever seen mention eating them.)

I actually prefer Bagel pizzas to English Muffin pizzas. You just have to be careful with the hole in the center.

Bagel pizzas are the own. Actually, cold cuts on bagels > all other sandwiches save maybe subs.

Honey BBQ is delicious if you use it like ketchup on fries. It's also good to dip cheese sticks in.
Other than that, I usually use Mesquite BBQ on chicken or pork chops.
