Anyway to disable the banner?

It would be convenient if I (we?) could disable the banner on the forums while at work. I'm constantly scrolling them offscreen currently so people coming into my office don't see the dragons

Yea, I know how you feel forthe, and although Avatar's are 50% of the VV fun, I wish there was an option to turn them off also, so that at least there is a possibility of me looking like I am actually working hehe.

Download and run
AdShield. Works like a charm, you can block specific images or whole sites that host images. I personally block the banner as well as all of the huge gay sigs that people have, and a couple of the larger avatars.

Disabling avatars would be nice also

Unfortunately there's no built in functionality to disable avatars, but there might be some hack somewhere. We shall investigamatate!

Click on Tools -> Internet Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Uncheck, Show Pictures.
