The new Radiohead album is, in my opinion, spectacular. In some senses, they've gone back to the style of their earlier work, before they decided that they ought to prove that music made with a keyboard and computer is just as "real" as music made with a guitar, but they definitely haven't forgotten what they learned when they made Kid A and Amnesiac. Songs like "The Gloaming" and "Backdrifts" make me finally glad that they decided to dick around with stuff like "Hunting Bears," because they've used the same synthetic backdrop as many of the Kid A/Amnesiac songs, but improved upon it and made it more visceral, more accessible.

Thom Yorke's voice gets better with each album they make, and I think there are very few singers out there that command a voice as powerful and haunting as he does. Even if the rest of the album sucked, which it certainly doesn't, I'd listen to Hail to the Thief over and over just to marvel at the way Thom Yorke sings.
