Avoid this bottled Smurf Piss. It's worse than Vanilla Choke.
This has been a public service announcement.

I can take or leave vanilla coke. If given a choice I just drink normal coke.
Those vanilla coke ads with the two mobsters are fucking classic though.

I gave up soft drinks. The carbonation slows your metabolism down (not good for fat people like me)

Tried it about a week ago and it really didn't taste like anything. I do like pepsi w/ lemon and vanilla coke however.

Stragi will drink anything. I suppose he likes Zima too

I'll take everyone's advice and won't try Pepsi Blue. Vanilla Coke isn't that bad but when it goes flat it's worse...

by Ahmik
I can't explain it, and it doesn't matter anyway...
I like diet sodas better than the regular kind.
I will go thirsty rather than drink a regular Coke or a regular Pepsi.
I tried Vanilla Coke and thought it was kinda ok. It's better than regular coke.
I tried the blue pepsi and thought it was ok.
Diet Coke with Lemon is the BEST, followed closely by Diet Coke.
Diet Pepsi with Lemon is acceptable, certainly better than Diet Pepsi.
I'm old enough to remember the first time they offered a diet pepsi with lemon in the early 70's That shit was just plain awful. I remember the Diet Pepsi with TEA! That was a very damn short lived product.
Anyway - Diet Coke with Lemon is the BEST!
Another new drink I just saw while in Texas the other day... Some kinda new red colored Dr. Pepper with a different name... tastes like the brown Dr. Pepper - shitty.

Vanilla Coke = Cream Soda. It's been on the market for, oh, 50 years or so under various brands (A&W, Barq's, etc.). Just about any company that sells root beer probably has a variety of cream soda, as well. I'm surprised Coca-Cola only now got on the bandwagon -- and with a gimmick like "vanilla coke" to make it seem like a new product. LOL.
Blue Pepsi is god-awful. I don't know how anyone can stomach it. It tastes EXACTLY like melted sno-cone. And you get that oh-so-annoying dyed-blue tongue, to match.
Apparently the soft-drink giants have forgotten their past mistakes of a similar nature ("Coke II," anyone? "Crystal" Pepsi?).

Coke II, also known as Crack.

Hmmm...
I'll drink a regular pepsi or coke over any of that other freaky stuff anyday....
BUT....
If it happens to be a hot summer day and I'm about to eat some BBQ then notice i'm being offered either water or vanilla coke, etc
Shiiiieeeeetttt
You know damn well they better mother fucken pour that soda in my glass

Was it called Pepsi Clear or Crystal Pepsi? Or are those two different types entirely?

vanilla coke is like drinking poutporri (sp?) after it's simmered on the stove for a few days.
Any pepsi product with the exception of Mountain Dew sucks ass.
Mountain Dew > Coke > all others.
Note: The opinions stated above do not reflect the opions of the management, administrators, or moderater. They are just that...opinions. Get over it.

I must have Diet Coke in the house or at work. It stays nicely carbonated throughout the day.

I'll take a Mountain Spew thanks.
...although even Pepsi can't leave a good thing like Mountain Dew alone and created that Code Red crap.

Simple rule of thumb:
With the exception on New Coke, every different kind of Coke product is at very least decent. And even with New Coke, they admitted it was a fuckup and changed it back. As Millie said Vanilla Coke is cream soda. Not particularly good but it doesn't suck.
With the exception of Mountain Dew, every Pepsi product is disgusting. They fuck shit up constantly because they're trying too hard to compete (unsuccesfully) with Coke (ie. Mountain Dew Code Red, Pepsi Clear, Pepsi Blue).
If someone tells me they prefer Pepsi to Coke, I question their sanity.

Pepsi from the can > Coke from the can
Coke from fountain > Pepsi from fountain
Vanilla coke = ass
I have no clue what this Blue Pepsi crap is. It must not have reached this market. They used other areas for guinea pigs this time.

i seriously doubt the validity of that statement. i'm sure you probably got it from some diet book or whatever, but i am going to have to say it just doenst make sense.
if it is drawn from the fact that if you increase the CO2 content in a rats cage from 3% to 9% his metabolism goes down, then big fucking deal, cause CO2 effervescence from coke bubbles is not gonna change the [CO2] in your blood substantially for any significant period of time.
but the high amount of sugar certainly isn't going to help get those pants buttoned.

I believe it's the carbolic acid that's the problem, Voro.
Posted: August 6, 2002, 3:56 pm

i've never heard of Carbonic Acid having any modulatory effect on metabolic rate.
it may give you heartburn but that's about it.
i did a
pubmed search and nothing really came up.
knock yourself out though

"They fuck shit up constantly because they're trying too hard to compete (unsuccesfully) with Coke (ie. Mountain Dew Code Red, Pepsi Clear, Pepsi Blue)."
I'm pretty sure I read not too long ago some statistics that said that Pepsi was very quickly catching up to Coke in marketshare. Coke doesn't have much of a lead over Pepsi anymore.
And Code Red is good. Almost as good as Jolt. But better than Cherry Coke. (Talk about a MIA soda..)

Don't confuse me with one of those hippy dieticians. I suck down at least 2 Cokes a day, along with my Starbucks. I am a slave to the caffine!

Cherry Coke > Code Red.
I had one bottle of Code Red in my life. I threw half of it away.

Vanilla Cokes have been around since before soda knew what aluminum was. Only the second time they've put in on a grocery shelf, though.
Not sure about cream soda. I walk a wide circle around that crap, and vanilla cokes (the grocery-store version) as well.
Soda fountain Coke > all

I think she's talking about adding vanilla (or cherry or chocolate) syrup into your Coke like people have done since the 50's (?) which of course isn't what was meant by Vanilla Coke. I may be wrong though...

You could buy vanilla coke in bottles back in the 1930's. Even before that soda jerks would add vanilla flavoring to coca cola and sell it as vanilla coke. It was pretty popular.. A lot of people drink it because it takes the bite of sweetness off the cola.

Pepsi blue tastes like a liquid form, carbonated blue rasperry Warhead. That's about as exact as I can get it. Or carbonated Blue squeeze-it but the first one is closer.
As for the war I prefer whatever is on sale. Coke gives me heartburn, Pepsi can too just takes a lot longer.
About the metabolism...I can drink like 9 sodas a day and i've weighed the same exact thing for like 6 years now...uhh most people would kill for their metabolism to keep them pretty thin but uhh...yeah.
Back to the topic...
I didn't find Pepsi Blue that bad...but if I had a choice i'd go for something else. I bought 2 of those badboys for 99cents and I tried one and gave the other to my friend, he proceeded to spit it all over the charcoal as we left the store but I put it down...could have been becuz i was very thirsty too....

Diet sodas taste distgusting, cant believe people drink that shit. If your going to drink something thats unhealthy, you may as well drink something that actually tastes good(or atleast doesnt taste like it came from a chemical waste dump)
BTW where the hell do they make that fake sugar crap anyhow, doesnt it give you cancer or something?

I work (unfortunately) for Target: We have had Pepsi Blue for a while now (as a demo) and the damn stuff sells SO quick - which disgusts me.
I talked to the Pepsi rep and he said that they are really trying to market it to kids (a'la Hawaiin Punch). To me, it tastes like a Slurpee from 7-11 that has melted.
Another cool rumor about Pepsi Blue is that is supposedly turns clear after being left out in the sun for a while.. They might have fixed that problem though by now.
I really like vanilla coke. It's just like the drink vanilla stole (sp?) and coke. But Pepsi has always been my favorite.

Gonna have to go with Code Red>Dr Pepper>Coke > everything else.
If you really need to pull an all-niter though, diet coke is the way to go, i swear that shit will have you bouncing off the walls after the third serving, it's like ..legal crack.

But isn't diet coke just like a bunch of chemicals designed specifically so as not to make you go hyper and stuff?
