Just after your opinion on this situation.
/ooc Camp Check is called
In your opinion, should you be able to call 'Moving to <insert camp here>?'

Of course. Has this ever been a problem? Unless someone started moving before you, or your group is incomplete and another group is ready to head in. Kinda like "first in force" concept.

Yeah had a problem with it last night, thats why I wanted to ask for opinions. If you call a camp (or you're heading there) and then someone takes the camp AFTER seeing you call it, who's camp is it?
I know this is bordering on petty bullshit, i'm just interested in opinions.

Depends on what camp i guess. And usually first on spott is a solid rule too.
If you need to clear your way down and the group before you done that etc...
Some might have shout/ooc off. Group 1 might be on CR when call "moving!".
Mostly though i think "Moving to ..." works.
Some mobs have specifict rulse though.. RF, AC etc hehe.
If guild-fight the rule usually are the 1st guild that get force take 1st shot.
But even there rules are bent

.
Guess "Be nice"-policy is the best. It always work. Works for me all the time.

If you're not worried about being polite, first to engage and fight gets the kill.

That's the kind of mentality that made flamevault famous you idiot. Veeshan has been somewhat civil for awhile now, but hey how would you know since you only have a twink here?

"Moving to X" is mainly to let folks know your moving there and not to waste time heading in that direction IMO.
If folks are already at the camp, they pretty much have it, regardless of responses from a camp check. First in force and all that.
I know a lot who leave /ooc and /shout off due to the massive quantity of zone spamming idiots on Veeshan.

if nobody is at the camp then nobody is at the camp.
people have been calling camps they aren't at for years. in my opinion whoever gets there first more or less has it.
i think an important qualifier is that some camps required a substantial amount of clearing to get to.
If one group is doing the clearing, some troop of gimps who just blazes by them should not of course get any claim.
anyways, my personal opinion is that saying "moving xxx" does not grant you "rights", but most people will respect it.
