I'm trying to see if there are any websites for Clerics like there are for Monks and Shaman (Monkly Business and Shaman Crucible).

Anyone know if there is a website for Clerics? If so, please post URL.

Thank you,

Fyn

So what do they debate on the cleric forums exactly? Comparative benefits between a 9 and 10 second CH rotation?

They talk about how much they suck and how cake every other class has it. So, it's just like every other class forum.

Lol, it's so true.

The big one seems to be the peridot cost. Frankly, I'm annoyed by it too but whatever.

your guild and xp groups should be covering dot costs

Before Pop, when enchanters benefitted from grouping, I always made sure my groupie clerics got stuff for their dots. But, it seems, not many others do the same.

Yeah I'm good as far as money is concerned, I guess I'm more annoyed with always having to remember to buy more dots. Mages have pearls, other classes have other things. It's not worth bitching over on forums for ever and ever is what I'm saying. Which fits in right with what class forums are all about.

those dumbass noobs should have had to buff entire raids w/ Symbol Naltron.

when manapools were like half what they are now :p

then they can whine about peridots!

I've always felt that peridot(s!) for a bread-and-butter spell like aego/virtue is assinine this is not a special-use/situational type spell a'la summon corpse, kill-the-fucking-rain, or many other spells that have a special reagent component.... this is a buff that every person wants on at all times (except those wierdos who want Bot9  ).

Focus, Cabbage, Brells - no reagents, but the cleric really takes it up the rear. I'd bitch too. Hell, we (shamans) bitched when Avatar was only available in an emerald reagent form, which tied to the long recast made going to ST for all your melee more reasonable.

But I agree that most class sites are whine > content. I think every class has too many people who secretly believe that the there is a developer who will come read thier whiney post and say "OH MY GOD! HE/SHE/IT IS RIGHT! THIS IS AN UNBALANCED, OUTRAGEOUS INSULT TO THIS VERY IMPORTANT CLASS AND MUST BE FIXED AT ONCE! LIVE TEAM, ASSEMBLE!!!!"

ASHEDIT: Brells may have a reagent, I may be wrong. If there are any Paladins left on Veeshan, clue me in.

The exp group should always set aside the cost of buffs for the person incurring the costs BEFORE splitting cash. Peridots are 11pp and in the high end game that lasts about 2 hours. If your lucky and have the group virtue thats like 2 peridots or something (I never got group version before I quit) so that's like 22pp every 2 hours...thoretically, but there are always deaths on pullers or trains etc....

So if your worried about compensating the cleric just keep tabs on which buffs he cast and run a taly...when you sell loot hand him his peridot compensation then split the restequally amongst all members.

On raids the guild should cover 100% peridots IMHO, Celestial Tomb was approaching that when they disbanded, under sirton they got virtually no compensation, under xanupox they were treated better, and Thess really tried to fix it some more, but it was hard to have officers holding 1000 peridots per raid. Guilds are usually short clerics on raids...why? Because when shit goes wrong they usually get the blame plus often times a cleric can spent 300pp+ per raid and not get any of it back....at one point in time I had spent more personal plat on raid buffs then I had in total value of gear worn....that was just wrong and those guilds that had me at the time were lucky I stuck around. Hell it was really good when we had group aego in CT, me, teurde and aallaan would just rotate MGB and that covered the majority of the dots.

I agree with Ashur that peridots should not be needed for such a required spell. Virtue etc are NOT spells your group will allow you to skip casting. And really aren't spells your guild will allow you to skip on raids.

-----------------------------

Most of the cleric bitching besides peridots are about the healing abilities of other classes compared to thiers, lack of solo-ability....

And of course how do I say this..? Lack of variety? We can't do a whole lot...we heal...usually CH...and we buff virtue every 2.5 hours.

-----------------------------

As far as actual discussion and not bitching...healing on uber encounters...spell changes and how they will affect you, how to make CH rotations work with noob clerics.....stuff like that.
