Found a link for a radio rip of their new Single I dig it.
Bok edit: Link Removed. Want to share an mp3? request email or PM, don't direct link pirated songs on this board. This is stated in the rules of the audiophilia forum. Read them here so you don't make the same mistake. http://www.veeshanvault.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2197 This is not to spoil your fun. It's to keep our board from getting shitcanned by some greedy lawyer driven band *coughmetallicacough*

I will preface this by saying I am a huge Metallica fan.
The song sucked. Sorry, but it sounds like they are trying too hard to apease they're hardcore "old school" fans, while at the same time "progress".
The intro was apealing,...I was thinking, damn, they have found "it" again. Right up until James opens his mouth, and the song falls apart for me.
I truely try and take a completly objective view, and not compare it to pre-Load offerings, but Im sorry, they have lost the edge. Every album/CD/tape before Load had something that would give me goose bumbs when I listened to it,.....nothing has come close since.
Here's hoping that song is not the norm for the new CD.

Complete and utter crap. Metallica hasn't produced a song worth listening to since the black album. That's what happens when you stop being about the music and start being about the money. Now please edit that link before their lawyers come after Xou for piracy...

Metallica is at a stage in there career, and imo, have been there since the black album, where they can record toilets flushing, put it on a CD and go platinum.

I think it's fucking great personally. And I hated load and reload. I can't wait for this album anymore.

Sorry, there wasn't really anything worth listening to on the black album, either.

Thought the new song was great, had to listen to it a few times to get used it. I'm a diehard metallica fan, so I've like pretty much liked everything they've done, but like most people, I thought the first four albums were better overall (not that I didnt like the others). I really dont see where people are getting this idea from that they're not about the music, it couldnt be farther from the truth in my opinion (unless you're still bitterly clinging to the napster issue as your only defense for this argument), but everyone can have their own opinion.

Metallica has been one of my favorite if not my favorite rock band (before load and reload) and all there new shit is just fucking sad, who knows they may come back...but the fact that there touring with fucking bands like Limp Biskit and linkin park kinda makes me thing they wont

Metallica is a washed up metal band that is now all about the corporate stuff. Their uniqueness and creativity is all gone.

I know I suck for bumping an old thread... But I finally listened to the whole CD today. And I'm astounded by how bad it really is. There's not one song on there I like.
Well, unless it's one of the last two. I couldn't take anymore.

I really really find myself wishing it had been Lars instead of Cliff that bought it when the bus rolled over.

I liked it more when it first came out now I think of it as kinda blah..... Maybe they will wise up and get rid of Bob Rock and get a new producer.

Or they can turn into full-time whiners instead of being a part-time "band".

...and justice for all was probably the last Metallica cd that I liked, and the last time I could say that I liked the band.
It was right around the time when their decision to make a video for "One" that I realized that they were going to go downhill. Back then it was like, "Oh my Gawd! Metallica is going to make a video! Hell hath froze ovah!" Now it's like, please don't put Lars on camera - I just ate. And for fuck sake don't let him open his mouth and talk.
Lars thinks he's Zen. Everyone else thinks he's Kermit the Frog.
