Well I quit playing EQ so that kinda free'd up umm.. Half my life? lol

Yeah there was a HUGE time void to fill, going from 6+ hours a night 6-7 nights a week, to nothing.

Isn't GTA4 supposed to be out late this fall?

EDIT: My buddy just got NCAA 2003. He sayd that it is the shiznat. The biggest improvements are in the AI. For example: I play as the Gators. When I was actually trying to play a season against the computer, they would line up nickle packages EVERY down, no matter how many 5 yard HB draws I would call. Same on the other side of the ball; no more will the 4-4 win you games against decent teams.

Some games

Personally I am waiting for Madden 2003 to be released August 14th. From there I am waiting on Age of Mythology and the Multiplayer Civ 3.

Unreal 2003. Say no more. Was due out 1st week in August but has been pushed back a couple of weeks. I presume it will be out by the end of the month. Holy shit this game looks awsome. I suggest DLing and checking out any footage you can. You will be amazed.

Enjoy.

It didn't come out this August but I must mention Morrowind as a perfect EQ-nicotine-patch-substitute type game.

Morrowind is what Ultima 9 could of been.

The problem with Morrowind was that it is a single player EQ. It will make you miss the constant chatting that takes place in EQ. Soon you'll wonder why you're playing Morrowind and not EQ.

Well, Xan. Since you are no longer a Veeshan player, I would have to say you come here for flames. Regardless of how I feel, your last post here left you wide open for the next paragraph. As a true flame vault poster i have to do it.

I would really recommend hitting google and do a search for +online +casinos. That way when you want to make money from the game that starts as the intent, and does not leave anyone surprised. After all since online gaming is all about rate of return, why not go the direct fucking route.

Heh at least in Morrowind you can get up from the computer and not return to a dead, CRing party.

EQ was great, but my biggest complaint was there was no way to pause the gameplay.

Sometimes at night you just gotta change the laundry, make a sandwich, scratch your ass etc. EQ made it hard to do that. Well at least as a warrior it was hard.

For me it was watching Cinemax while I was supposed to be healing my group. Oops, ummm, lag got me. Yeah that's it, lag.

Kylere, well I didnt ask anyone for any new ONLINE games, nor any way to make money online. I was asking people about highly anticipated single player games that were due out this month. Right now I am debating on playing Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) that my wife bought for me last christmas, or firing up some Diablo 2 and playing another class this go around.

What I did with my EQ account and items, I have no regrets over. As I seen it then and see it now, selling everything I owned that said EverQuest was the ONLY way for me to successfully QUIT the game. I have already had thoughts of what it would be to go back and play casual, however I had enough foresight to predict the draw of the game... I put myself into a position where there is no possible way for me to come back, no account, no items, no twinks, no nothing. EQ is gone for good. That is what I needed and wanted to achieve.

Now enough beating the old tired horse. What are YOU playing that passes the time, and is it something you reccommend to another?

I downloaded America's Army Online and I was pretty disapointed.
When I was doing the rifle training, from a crouched position I missed the closest target yet the crosshair was directly in the center of the chest area. Now they said they made this realistic and stuff, but is the m16 really that inaccurate? Maybe some of you army guys could vouch but I have trouble beliving that :/ It'd also be nice if they added tracers because you really don't know where the bullets are flying. Tracers would give people a better idea of the spread of fire.

I played online and It was ok, I just didn't like using those laser training things.. I snuck up behind a guy laying down and it took 10 shots to 'tag' him from like 3 feet.. it looks nice and it's cool that you blend in really well (atleast in the map i played.) I thought it was cool that you could only find stationary players from a distance by muzzle flash.

If the raid is long and boring I play Unreal Tournament 2003 on a second machine.

Morrowind is a piece of shit. Make sure you save every 10 feet. At least it has built in "downtime" like EQ - the time spent reloading the game after a crash.

America's Army isn't even a single player game, it's just a Counter Strike rip off with some training missions tacked onto the front.

Perosnally i like AA (Americas Army). If you like that genre you might want to try the new beta on DF: Blakhawkdown. It will out till 16th Aug.

Here is the link:
http://www.3dgamers.com/news/more/1028316563/

And i dont personally dont have the trouble in AA that is stated above. Might be the "ping" that is to high so try another server and you will see the shots hit. As for rifle training try the aim mode while shoot. Though i have never missed the closest targets. Dont know what could be wrong.

Anyhow... have fun.

Bust out the nintendo, snes, genesis.. etc emulators and beat all the old games again =)

Also there are OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of old school game sites out there. If your not 100% about graphics.. Like the game master of magic, or Darklands.. I still fire those up now and then and play them =)

Hitman 2 got pushed back again til august cause Eidos doesn't have fuck all for Christmas but that and Tomb Raider 3953863. My ex boyfriend knows the guys from IO and he says the games been practically finished since April. :(

I really, really, really loved the first Hitman, despite the fact it was only half completed. It had so much style and atmosphere. Walking around that hotel with a shotgun hiding in a flowerbox while all the security guards were eyeing you suspiciously was classic.

I met one of the Hitman 2 developers at a party (Hitman is a Danish production) and he said pretty much the same thing, Kyou ... but at least we're not getting a rushed product this time!

The screens I've seen so far look sweet and the music is amazing...really looking forward to it.

I'm almost done with Warcraft 3 single player, and currently playing through NWN for the 2nd time. If you don't want to play through NWN again, Icewind Dale 2 looks to be very good or UT2003...both should be out fairly soon.

I have Morrowind, but never got around to finishing it. I just didn't find it fun.
