No, I would rather not go to jail for assisting the deliquency of a minor.

Nope!

Now I did buy for my little brother and his friends back in the day.. but only when I knew where they were going to be. And that they weren't leaving. But a stranger? Never! (Even though we'd "shoulder tap" occassionally back in the day as well).

if i know the person i will. it's different in the military though. not legal, but different. some posts lower the legal drinking age on-post to keep people from going off-post to drink. ft bliss, my present duty station, is 18.

Well I may feel a little hypocritical for admitting this but for the most part my answer is no. When I was in my teens, we used to get older brothers/sisters/friends to buy us beer/liquor, but knowing where and how we drank (it did usually involve drinking and driving b/c unless someone's parents were out of town, we didn't have many other options) I wouldn't, especially for a_random_kid01 that I don't know.

There are exceptions like say a younger cousin at family reunion (provided that they didn't go off driving some place...), etc but not very many of those.

In Texas children can drink in the presence of their parents under the age of 21. Which is cool because when I turned 18 my parents and I would go out to Dave and Busters, stuff like that and order me drinks. To me personally the drinking lvl should be lowered back down to 18. I believe if you have the right to vote, die for the country your defending you should be able to do so drunk :)

Yes, but not a random kid....

As a matter of fact I bought for a few minors tonight. I just got home from drinking with them. But they were like 20 not like 17. One of them will be 21 in 4 weeks. I've known most of them for a long ass time....some for 10 years.

A random kid I would give a healthy "fuck you". I won't go to jail for a stranger. My friends would never rat me out.

I'm retty much of the mindset that if your old enough to be tried as an adult, or die in a war via the draft, drive an automobile, own a gun etc....then drinking requires less life-experience then those.

Funny thing is the people who made those laws were around when the drinking age was 18......but they changed it to 21...I don't think 21 yr olds are that much more mature then 18, 19, or 20.

Our gov't really needs to make up thier mind what age a person becomes an adult and make it stand across the board....not just when it suits thier needs best.

I voted no..though I do buy my 20 year old brother alcohol from time to time.

I would never buy for a stranger. Cops use those kids to sucker people into buyign them booze and then busting them. It happens a lot more than you could imagine. When I was of age in college I would buy though and just show up with the booze.

The drinking age should be 18. I would rather have my 20 year old son messing around with of age girls in a bar than have them hanging out with some 16 year old down the block. Sadly, while the issue is always popular around voting time, only about 10% of students will get off their lazy asses and vote.

Honestly, I think the last time I paid for something to drink was around highschool, 2yrs ago. I've worked in clubs in Tallahassee ever since I moved there and realized that I was broke. After a certain amount of time, you just stop paying for drinks entirely. Gotta love the club business... anyway, enough bragging.

My parents/family buy my liqour because they know its ten times easier for me to get any other drug I want. Growing up in south florida, and then working in a club for 2 yrs.. well, I have a nice list of people I can go thru to get whatever. I can get dealer prices on most shit without buying in quantity, but it takes me a lot to buy a single beer, without using an ID.. thanks Mr. Hooper from Oregon.

Korell's Final Thought:
Buy your kids booze. Its a lot easier these days for them to get messed up with the wrong thing, and to meet the wrong people in the process. Just make sure they are NOT driving, explain to them the dangers, and more importantly the legal ramifications of doing so. Anyone that just got their driver's liscense is not going to want to give it up easily. If they are going out to a club, allow them to predrink at home, then take a cab out there. Most cabs are cheaper than dealing with the legal system.

Where my damn points for MSPaint Monday

Depends. For high school or younger kids, no fucking way. But back in college, it was no big deal to help the underclassmen out.

I voted no, but I would for very specific friends/brothers and I was either going to drink with them, or I felt assured that they would be in a place that would be relatively "safe" to drink at.

When I was growing up, we shoulder tapped mexicans and NEVER got turned down. Was like clockwork, give the hombre enough money to buy you and your homie a few 40s and one for himself. I never once was ripped off and never once got denied and we did it religiously from 15-17.

However, I did some of the stupidest shit of my entire life during those times. Knowing what I did and how kids these days are pretty much fucking crazy; I would never buy any minor outside of my family beer. Now if its for my lil cousin or somethin, then sure, but he will be drinkin with me or not at all.

When I went to college, my brother gave me his birth certificate and I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles and got a duplicate Drivers License with his info and my picture on it. College was great : ) I still know his Social Security number better than my own.

I suppose my brother could answer no on this poll. I'm a no as well. It's up to the kid to be a little more creative if they want a beer. If they were 18+ I'd give more thought to the circumstances though before making a decision. (and no, it has nothing with the sex laws you freaks! I figure if you're old enough to go to war and die, be drafted, vote, etc, you're old enough to drink)

I would buy for my cousins and what not...because I know them. I am also more than willing to sit down and drink with them. Better with me than doing it at a party, driving and dying. I will never buy beer for someone I don't know.

Actually she is right. However....it is more legal then pot.

Also pot tends to make your clothes and the area you smoked it in smell like pot....I'd prefer my home not smell like it.

Winnow, problem is now they keep your last picture on file digitally in the computer.....

Like when my friend went back to get his drivers liscense replaced the just slapped the old picture on it w/o even asking him if he wanted a new picture, and he looked way different now.

So I imagine if say Scrimps sent Zergs in with his SS card and Birth Cert that they would look at the picture on file before taking a new one....if they don't look similar then I assume your in big trouble. Scrimps and Zergs don't look anything alike....brothers and 2 years apart but nothing alike.

Also some clubs now require a 2nd form of ID. Like last ngiht we went out to eat and my friend had to provide his liscense and another form of ID, I think he used his ATM card. Althuogh that would be easy enough to get ahold of too if it was from family.

Yeah man. They are doing that 2 forms of ID shit too much now. SS Card or like Student ID, or something. I think it's a crock of sheet personally.

You have it rough these days! Just think in a few years you'll be getting retina scans or finger print access to bars linked to a national database with cops ready to arrest you for outstanding warrants and such. The fun days are over!

I'm 20 and I'd buy minor's alcohol...That's how I got my money for a while when i didn't have a job for a couple months....you'd be surprised how dumb they are...paying 25 bucks for 3 OEs, and where I live is full of street trash who beg people to buy them booze...very profitable.
