Hey there. I am posting to let people know about a scammer that has been ripping people off ( nothing new in EverQuest ). This person is no novice however. He has been doing this for quite a long time, and he has scammed HUNDREDS of people. He has you sign up for a fake EverQuest email service at http://www.eqemail.com ( site may be down now ). He then uses that info and hacks into your EverQuest account. From there he strips everything and either sells it fast in game, or sells it to a EverQuest powerseller to get it off of his hands quickly. But he doesn't stop there. He then takes that info which he got from your EverQuest account, and checks if you have a Paypal account. Once he is in your Paypal account, he buys all sorts of things like TV's, VCR's, all sorts of electronics. So besides having all your EverQuest account stolen, he also gets into your bank accounts via Paypal, and scams you for all sorts of money. I am trying to post on every server, so people who might have been scammed by him will speak out. We are currently very close to getting him arrested, so the more people that speak up about it the better it will be for our case. I really hate it when people post virus/scam notices.. it always goes something a little like this.. dont give people ur account info.. and don't open email from strangers.. I can imagine for somepoeple this would be new information every time.. but for most.. its like.. common sense?

anyways, you signed up for this board, you trust the administrator with the information you filled in, its kind of the same deal here, but since the scam was pretty elaborate and profesional looking no one questioned it

What if Xou took your Email and pass for this site you gave when you signed up and used it to get into your Email (if you same pass for both) then used that to steal your EQ account and sold all your in game stuff then using your email address got into your Paypal account (some people have emails from Paypal with their Paypal name in it at least...and if you use the same pass for Email and this site, chances are it will be same for that) and bought lots of stuff with it??

Now do you see what this scammer does? He has a site that does exactly what I said above, you sign up for it and using the info you used to sign up he steals all sorts of shit from ya. Very smart way to do it, he has made insane cash off doing this and while I dont approve of Yantis or his site, I think its great hes doing all this to get rid of this guy.

I stand by my original point: the bazaar is there for a reason. Piddle your shit there. When I'm in PoV, I don't need to see you price gouging or spamming your bullshit every 2 minutes.
