Sun Glasses

I was looking into a pair of sunglasses, but nothing I can find really fits my style, mainly because I'm looking for different colored sunglasses. Not the usual darker ones, but more blue or green or colors like that.
I was wondering if there is such a thing that you can tint your existing perscription glasses to those random colors without dropping several hundred dollars for a new custom made pair.
Any suggestions?

It can be done, my Sister-in-law has had extra pairs of her glasses tinted.

I have a family weakness when it comes to my eyes: They are extremely sensitive to light and wind, but I also have very good night vision. Due to this I wear sunglasses more often than most people, so I am kind of a snob when it comes to them. I used to wear Oakleys while snowboarding, bikeriding or doing any form of exercise and Ray Bans while driving. I really miss an old pair of Ray Bans I had, best driving glasses ever

Recently I haven't found a pair I really like so I have used my oval Oakleys for everythhing.

Get a pair of these, wear them all the time, and tell anyone that if they're ruby quartz and if they try to take them off of you they could be hit with a concussive blast and killed.

My eyes are light sensitive also....I mean not like I can't go out in the sun w/o sunglasses, but I usually get a headache....I fequently just continue wearing my sunglasses if I go in a store with lots of florescent lighting too...no point in taking them off.
I like the blue oakleys....don't think I could pull them off though.
Usually I buy Oakleys but I lose/break my sunglasses so often....I buy cheapies sometimes....and this month I bought a cheapy revo clone (for when I think lost/theft/breakage is an issue) and a pair of Killer loop. The killer loop are pretty decent...my first pair.

Seriously go try them on. You'll see what I mean about the Voltron thing.

Speaking of sunglasses, I am watching 'Ocean's Eleven'(new version) and Brad Pitt has some bitchin ones with a chrome frame and light blue lenses. No idea on the make/model though...

Being the dream consumer of every advertising agency that I am, I actually attempted to find out what kind of sunglasses those are, and was unsuccessful. Let me know if you find out. They're at least worth trying on.

Will do. They look expensive, but of course that can be deceiving. Usually, prop-masters have garages full of random shit.

Oakley lost me as a customer when they refused to repair my $135 Zero's when they broke. They offered me a 15% off coupon for a new pair. Fuck that.

hah those you linked are very cool Aranuil. Something I would wear while working out outside and crap hehe.
Xou you must have had bad luck or something. Although I always do needed work on mine in Norway (it is where I bought them, a lot easier that way), they have never refused me anything. Friend of mine broke the frame on his Oakleys completely and got them fixed for free.
Also, I have noticed I take a lot better care of expensive glasses than new ones. Although I was about to have a fit when my better half stepped on them once..

It's unfortunate to hear that. I've had well over 10 pair of Oakleys since I was about 16, and I've never had bad customer service from them. I've even toured their factory.

I feel really sorry for all those people out there that are exactly like me in this regard.....
I have one of those goofy dopey faces that look really stupid when I have any frame style of sunglasses on... Hats too...
Generally (as we all know) people wear sunglasses to protect their eyes and make bright light tollerable. Function is important.
THis however takes a back seat to fashion, and one wants to select a frame that compliments their physical appearance... no fuckin luck for me there... I look stupid (ok, more stupid than normal) whenever I put on any type of sunglasses. It sucks.
This being the case, I buy the $9.99 shades at WalMart.

I always giggle when I see some dude in a lowered pickup wearing Oakley Blades, and sporting a 'Bad Boy' and/or 'NO FEAR' sticker on his rear window. That always makes my day

I'm too damn cheap for Oakleys, etc.
Still trying to find a pair that don't make me think of NASCAR drivers when I put a hat on....
Anyone know who id the glasses for the Matrix? Most of em looked like shit, but the frameless jobs Morpheus had might be cool for casual wear.

Love the Nike's. Comes with the dark lenses and orange. Most comfortable pair of sunglasses I have owned.

I have had about a dozen different brands of name brand sunglasses, from Anarchy to Revo. I'm currently sporting a pair of Ray Bans, but my favorites were the Revos. Granted, they retail for over $250, but they are quality glass. A friend of mine gave them to me with shattered lenses, and I sent them back to the company without receipt. Two weeks later I had a brand new pair... which I lost about a month later.
The Ray Bans I got now are nice, but their lenses are heavy. If worn for a while, they can leave imprints on your nose. Bolle makes very nice, light weight glasses, that don't scratch quite as easily as Oakleys do and are very good for an active lifestyle. I had a couple pairs of Oakleys in high school and College. My beef with them is that they scratch too easily, and all the kids want them so they have a higher chance of getting stolen.
Ray Ban has some new lines out with some freaky color lenses that sell for around $100.

I recently bought a pair of Ray-Ban polarized shades, and they are the best sunglasses I ever owned. I also have a pair of basic black Oakley Tens for biking ect, and an old pair of Oakley wires I wear for yard work, house painting, and stuff like that.
I refuse to wear "club glasses." I leave them to the Bono and Madonna wannabes

I always get the gold colored lenses now, really cuts down on the glare from everything. All my Oakley's were gold lens, and so are my Dragons.

Favorite sunglasses were my Rayban Aviators. Had a pair of the small ones with the ear wrap-arounds. Best pair of sunglasses I ever owned; damn shame they discontinued them, especially since they disappeared on me 2 years ago.
I still miss them.

I prefer Oakleys as well. I currently own 4 pairs that I switch between depending on my mood/what I'm doing at the time.
I've got a pair of A-Wires 2.0 (gunmetal with +red iridum lenses), these are currently my favorite pair ... I wear them 99% of the time, unless I'm doing something overly active, in which case I usually pull out one of the m-frames.
http://www.oakley.com/ostore/eyewear/a_wire_2.0_sh/
X-Metal Juliets (carbon titanium frame, black lenses) Fairly heavy, and cost as much as a small country, but they're completely indestructable.
http://www.oakley.com/ostore/eyewear/juliet/
2 pairs of M-Frames with Hybrid lenses (old style, with the curved sides), one in red and one in blue (both with black translucent frames).

Oakley will generally repair/replace your glasses free of charge, as long as it is from a factory defect (ie, if you threw them out of a speeding car, you're probably SoL). Scratched lenses however, they won't replace at all. I've never had a problem with their customer support, but maybe I've just been overly lucky.

Actually I think Dragon's are better... they seem to do very cool things to the light that help you see a lot better. I had Oakleys before, and they didn't do that.
For example, one time I was driving through a blizzard, and my view of the road was definitely impaired. I put on my dragons to cut down on the glare, and I found that actually I could see farther...Sorry, but Dragon glasses do own...
