Problems with my main

I have tried logging onto my main character with no success. First, he was in Fungus Grove and a failed login prompted me to do complete file checks, log in other characters, the whole nine yards. Everything else about Everquest works, except Kalduare. The GMs moved him to Nexus, but he still is unable to login. He doesn't show up on the Explore feature either on the character select screen, yet I can click on his name and the graphic of Kal rotates around. Any help on what to do in this situation?

corrupt UI or opt file maybe?

There is no .opt file for this character. This is strange because he worked 6 months ago, and I've had him since release.

Were you using a custom UI? Voro may have it right, and you just need to set it back to the default UI.

I was having the same problem on Sarg for a while, and what I ended up doing was removing my eqclient.ini file. When I patched, it replaced it with the default one. Took a while to get all my preferences back, but it worked.

Thanks for the assistance everyone. I deleted eqclient.ini and changed the UI to one that I know is operational. Now my character is up and running (for the time being). Thanks for lending a hand.
