Hmmm I wonder if when people with pierced genitalia go through airport metal detectors, if they set them off.

Belly button rings set off metal detectors, so I would assume pierced...hmmm...things would.

Depends what the phlanges, ect. are made out of. Precious metals usually won't trigger a detector, but lots of people have steel sticking thru their naughty bits.

Chemically, anything gold like 14k or higher is pretty much inert, and thus the safest metal for piercings. Most "gold" stuff that ends up causing a reaction ends up being gold plate or a really debased alloy.

well they have to put in stuff like Iridium to make the gold/Pt strong enough to stand up to day to day abuse. Iridium or other metals which are in the allows may irritate people with sensitive skin!
so yes you are right!

That might have something to do with the fact that most people are fuckin' stupid.
