My professor was a bitch who highly believes in all foreign sick fucking myths, so I wanted to do my best to piss her off. Started off with my intro, definition,laws, etc. Then finished with how I felt about how fucked up they all were.

This isn't new. Do you have ANY idea the number of children that go missing anymore? It's sick, stagering, and makes you think really hard about this country. HOWEVER, it's now getting a ton of MEDIA ATTENTION.. not that I'm complaining. I think this is a good in that it's bringing light to this plight and we're getting faster results.

it is "topical" now due to the recent publicized case in California. As a result, the case in MO and PA got national airtime because there was the tie-in to the previous big story.

We all come from different worlds, different paths, different cultures, and different upbringings outside of EQ...

In my life...I was once shot by a guy for protecting 2 little girls from being raped by him. I didnt know who any of them were but something inside me told me that I had to protect the little girls or something bad might happen.

I saved the 2 little girls but the guy only got a few years....The District Attorney even said that I did the right thing despite the system only giving the guy 3 years....

Everytime I see a news story of a child kidnapped, raped, and/or murdered by an adult....it makes me look back at that day and wonder what if I had not stumbled onto them...

As for this guy in the newslink, he is just one of many out there still waiting to strike on a child.

Maybe its a corrupt seed within certain people that feeds off and grows from negative situations, experiences, or even people.

Who knows....

I think the punishment must be severe enough to become a deterrant to others that may even contemplate such an unspeakable move on a child.

Prison time doesnt work enough as we can all see by the news.

Rehabilitation is useless as well...its being used today yet why are there still repeat offenders?

Except that people who commit these types of acts are not doing so for sexual gratification. As a matter of fact, the majority of people that commit sex crimes have little to no sexual education and/or experiance. It is about violence, frustration, and domination. Cutting up thier wang will not cure thier fucked up minds. It's OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS deeper and more complex than that.

As was pointed out by Masteen, this guy was ignorant and caught up in local superstition more than anything. I am not offering excuses, this man should clearly be punished, and punished severley. I read a thing about this a few years ago. Apparently it's gets as bad as the whole village (or whatever) maiming a small child all in order to cure themselves from aids ... if the child survives (unlikely) it will have some terrible diseases to kill it off anyway.

Castration does seem like a viable punishment for this type of crime, to remove the weapon the perp uses. I think castration, coupled with a long jail term and rehabilitation (drug/shock treatment) could make people think twice about doing these horrible acts.

I have an 18 month old little girl and when I read the first news story I thought about what I would do if this happened to her. Man, it fills me with anger just thinking about it. If I caught the guy before the cops got him, I would probably go into some blind retard rage and rip the fucker limb from limb. I wouldn't want to kill him, just punish him. Severely. Heh, it's easy to play the "what if" game, if this did happen I would be devastated.
