The researchers are now sifting through 540 detailed questionnaires which will shed more light on the personality types of gamers.
This just in:
80% of them are STAR TREK GEEKS!

A "significant minority" (15%) adopt a character gender opposite to their own [because of their latent real-life homosexuality].

I think mangina is more a result of guys wanting to stare at tits and ass the entire time they play rather than their being homosexual...
BUT I COULD BE WRONG!!1!1

My first character in final was a chick because I saw how much easier chicks had it in the game....like in beta if a chick said "anyone seen my corpse?" 5 guys would start looking for it, and if a guy said it there would be dead silence.
And also because I'd rather look at a chick with big knockers then a fat short dude....so your partly correct.
My second character in final was a guy, because I was tired of getting hit on.
In the end it was OK because I had one of each so I could just goof around with them, if someone hit on Citra then Pilsburry could get all mad because your hitting on his woman.
Amen...

Nah, you're right!

But that's not the only reason.
As a frequent Mangina, I would like to say that this is 100% true.
My Main character was male, but that was a change from my character in beta who was female. My other characters were all female. Also, people seem to treat you with a little more respect if you are playing a female character. It's not something you could do an experiment and measure really, but it seems like it's true to me.

I have a female character I dualbox.
Reason?
A barbie fem is so much more easy to look at than a troll.
Eye candy is a great thing.

I know a few girls who play guys because they kept getting hit on in game so it works on a broad scale.
