Money is still on a 7=< patch with 1 to 2 additional server outages.

Additional downtime because someone dropped jam from his donut into the server switchboard, yes.

4 1/2 hours download *without* the optional files during off-peak hours? No, sir.

I clicked explore at char select screen -> dumped to desktop.

Resisted the urge to hit explore again. Got in move around a few windows and then hit "I" -> dumped to desktop.

I lasted an entire 5 mins in game with the new UI, before getting kicked back to the desktop. Not sure if that's a UI issue or just the Connection probs EQ is having with the load. Now the patch server won't even connect and times out each time. Ahh you have to love huge patches like this.

From what I saw briefly though...*DROOL*.

Especially the Character Select. It was neat to "Explore" around in my selected character and browse my other characters. The UI is very easy on the eyes and simple to navigate.

But I doubt I'll see it again for a few hours, considering the dumb patcher...

I get patch almost done, then it stops. I start over and it says the patching servers are down.

Both computers are patching atm....I'm hoping the remaining 20 gig is enough to hold this BIG ASS FUCKING PATCH. Anyway i guess it's back to surfing pr0n errr the internet.

Noit sure why you all had problems today.. I finally got patcher to patch my 3rd try and it download it all in 12min on cabel modem. And Ran flawlessly when I ran the new GUI.....

I've just read the Sony Station board ... if I hear one more inbred wee fuckling telling me that I am wrong to be angry about a paid service not being available for a few days with no compensation, I'm gonna book a flight ticket and remove their kneecaps.

I don’t play everquest that much, and when I do … it doesn’t work.

Fuck Sony in their wrinkled rusty asshole.

Why stop at kneecaps?
I mean, its not as if they need their legs to keep EQ up and running, in fact i see a benefit of removing everything from the waist down.
Maybe a new clause should be added for customer satisfaction in situations like these

1) Programmers are on a Service-Ration payment plan: Since they cant move all programmers must be brought their food. If however they fail to keep the paid service up, beyond the normal patch hours, they loose food rations.

2) Management Acid Bath-Nerf: For every nerf a class must have for no apparent reason each member of management must choose one limb to have removed by boiling sulphuric acid.

3) Customer Rape Days: Annoyed clients of Verant may have the change to select any object to be shoved into a highly paid executive of Verants ass.

4) Money back if you fuck with us: Speaks for itself

5) Fight Club Scenario: One member of the Dev team, can be selected at random to have his balls removed. If such a member is female they must undergo a sex change and then have the balls cut off.
