OK... this is the funniest shit that Furor's posted in a long time. Quote is from his post on the FoH main page.
Find the guy responsible for the Wood Elf Illusion Crown Quest and beat the fuck out of him. There's nothing I enjoy more than taking a twink to Guk, doing a /who and seeing 18 lvl 65 players AEing the fuck out of the dead side while little fucking Timmy the lvl 42 paladin and his stalwart group of adventurers are left with dick in hand, crying their little eyes out. While you are beating the stupid fuck that made this quest, just remember little Timmy. It'll fuel the rage. You turned a fantastic exp spot into a fucking shitpool. What's next? The Ogre Illusion Cock Ring that requires positive faction with the gnomes in Sol A? What a stupid fucking idea compounded by stupid fucking quest implementation. Make the faction its own damn faction that can only be obtained deep in sebilis or some shit... I know Krup's and above in Sebilis are giving Frogloks of Guk faction, you're on the right track, now change that faction to something else entirely so the shitheads can vacate Guk. Remember Timmy assholes...

I agree. I hate when Verant puts quests in that 'require' you to farm faction (opr for items) for days in green-filled areas. And this from the geniuses who came up with the TLC.

I for one had to endure being trained by AE'ing fuckers in LGuk as I leveled in my mid to late 40's. I got good XP there and I probably still would soloing at 52 near the ghoul lord's aread, but it's not worth it when you are either being trained or there's nothing to kill. I just ended up joining a lot of the AE/Factioning people and sucking up xp. Which honestly was slower xp than if I was soloing, but some xp is better than none. Reguarding the post I think my favorite part is

Finally to warmly with sarnaks. Very sick of seeing goblins in droga. At least Droga was always deserted.

I've been in lower guk wasting the dead side the past few weeks when I have time. My frog kill count is up over 3500 with 500 more to go (starting at max KOS to Live side frogs). The difference is that I'm outside of groups helping the 40's get their XP when I see them around and AE slowing and buffing the holy hell out of the 40's. I don't think they could die if they wanted to.
That said, the jackass that thought up this quest needs to complete the quest himself starting with KOS faction to the live side.
I've made some new friends and actually had fun doing this but a 65 player has no business being in guk or even sebilis for the most part.

Shrug, this is why you shouldnt casually trash factions just for fun. And its not like the quest is for a must-have item or anything either. You trash a faction for the luxury of the convenience of not having to go to a different area of the zone for exp, you can pay the freight. Speaking as someone who grew up in deadside guk and has been a frog-hugger for literally years now...

Yup no having floods of 65th levels killin anyone's exp mobs...But of course we were all largely KoS since so many epics route through...
I have always maintained my factions wherever possible and improved/restored them as much as possible...Cept that damn Freeport militia...I just had too many Pali friends...
