Hellaciously fun past-time.
We have received about 8 inches of snow here in Toronto and it keeps falling. I saw a kid bumper hitching on the way to work this morning and was wondering if this was a uniquely Canadian venture.

Grab the back bumper of a car (usually in a parking lot) and go for a ski.
The bumpers on new model cars would probably make this more difficult than when I did it as a kid.

used to do this on UPS trucks when I was a kid. As I grew older, UPS grew smarter, and put "slanted" bumpers on the back of the vehicles, so you could not stand on/hold onto the bumper :(

I feel bad for kids these days missing out on the fun that is bumper hitching.

Did that once while in Korea (Osan AB). Before going into the bar it was nice and sunny out but when we left the bar there was nearly a foot of snow and the roads were iced. So my buddy and I, being just a wee bit drunk, grabbed the back of a taxi and slid about 4 blocks up to the next bar we wanted to visit. Lots of fun.
