now every single person that plays EQ can use custom armor colors to show off how original they are by tinting it all black! norrath is being taken over by goths! run away!

some of us have been busting our ass for four years to get black armor.
unfortunatley now everyone can =(

Behold, Veeshan's newest Warder (like two nights ago anyway). 24 days to 60 which I'm sure has been beat etc. None of my skills suffered for that either.

I was quite suprised to see how popluar pink has been for the menz..

Yeah, pretty lame how many people chose 'black' armor.
I stuck to dark blue with silver helm/glove/boot.... I messed around with black, but it's too dark to see any of the textures on the armor... you look like a poorly animated black blob.

On a related note, I had many, many offers from nice friends who were willing to not only pay for, but deliver the dye to me if I went with an all pink look.

I wear Twilight Armor for the most part ( Greyish Look).

My Bp and Boots are the Light Green Full Mithril. I also have a pair of Benevolence bracers.

If I had the talent to pic post I would.

I was stopped last night, in the PoK by a random tell.

And on the RoS boards, Ive already been Dared as well to go all pink. Something about the Prancing would be Funnier then.

Gratz on 60 bro, like the dark green look. I'm gonna go with a greenish color to match my scales once I get the combines done on my dye components.

My armor is AQUA! But I dont have a screenshot atm (vile work). I look sexah.

P.S. - I fucking hate armor dyes and wish they would remove it from the game or add the option to choose to see dyed armor or not.

Black is very slimming though. I didn't go that route, but I went such a deep maroon it's borderline black, same with the dark blue tints I did, overall very very happy with the look I've achieved, glad EQ finally did this... now if they can only give the females more hairstyle options we'd be set.

Have you noticed how many retards are also using fluorescent rainbows? At least the black ones aren't as hard on the eyes...

EDIT: On a side note to Aranuil, even though I ranted in a previous post that I was disappointed at the screenshots SoE provided us about the new monsters and new content, I never said I wasn't going to get the expansion. I preodered it on both of my accounts the DAY it was announced. On another note, I should accept that SoE just plain takes crappy, contentless screenshots. I explored LoY in depth for the first time last night (been having RL issues preventing me from getting in game) and let me tell you there are Soooo many cool new things new monsters new WEAPONS. And some of the armours and looks of the pirates are bad ass. They really under-represented the work they did with their crappy screenshots.

The "black" is actually a dark red, which by the way is darker than 'black' (25/0/0 vs 25/25/25, which is what 0/0/0 entries get reset to). Why did I go with such a dark color?

- Because she is a rogue? Well, sorta the uniform color I suppose
- To have the Goth look? Er, never a consideration
- Because black is in? Please, not a factor

The biggest reason: I wanted that Winni-standing-at-the-wall-of-flame-in-Fear look. (one of the all-time best character pictures, IMHO)

I have yet to do Ogbar - I still need to shake down a few more of my alts for spare pp, heh.

I went with basic black, accented by dark red hands.



At least the colors can be changed.

I had black armor undyed. Had to ditch it with the mad rush of peeps going for the raider nation look. So green it is till I get that perfect shade of mangina pink.

Maybe a couple of you guys know my original character, Roleen, but he was the shit back a couple months after Kunark was released. He was Red helmet, Black BP, Silver Gloves, red legs, black boots, and no arm graphics. Wasn't much for AC and stuff, but I just wore it to be different.

Dammit. Gorjah was born May 29 1999 and he's 57. Granted, I really only started playing him exclusively since July of last year but still. I'm friggen useless at these games.

Well you gotta realize that back in the day Aranuil was a level 60 ranger. Then about 2-2.5 years ago he quit EQ and deleted his ranger. Then when he came back to EQ he came back as a warrior (this was durring a severe Ranger nerf period). Recently he get tired of not having l33t ranger abilities so he started an ub3r twink pink breastplate wearing ranger and leveling the crap out of him, then moved Aranuil the warrior to another server and then namechanged Suvien the Ranger to Aranuil the ranger.
