In our known human history, no system has worked forever and doesn't necessarily get replaced by something better.

It could work.. Just not the way it currently is in the US. You have the richest people paying little to no taxes while 98% of the population is paying the rest.

Not to mention the corporations moving their money to places like Ireland just to avoid paying taxes. John Oliver did a segment on it a few years ago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKjk0ECXjiQ

So those corporations are making millions/billions, paying no taxes on that money, and in most cases paying many of their employees low wages (think all the Amazon warehouse employees) just to line the pockets of those people at the top.

I'm not saying punish those successful individuals or corporations with crazy high taxes but I am saying they should pay their share just like everyone else.

Capitalism can only exist if there is poverty. If there is poverty, the system isn’t working. A system where the workers have democratic control of the wealth they create, while everyone’s basic needs are met, regardless of employment status, would work better than capitalism.

Under capitalism, a handful of billionaires are allowed to exist while millions of people live in poverty. It’s criminal. If they paid their fair share, they’d still be billionaires and there’d still be poverty.

What do you care about wealth? Aren't you happy wearing rags meditating on top of a rock? Why so concerned about it? If the system collapses, you'll still be in rags and will still be able to meditate when not foraging for food.

Since I have compassion for others, my personal happiness is irrelevant.

Well I hope I have you to change my bedpan in my nursing home down the road.

The character of a person isn't tied to wealth and neither is happiness.

Being poor doesn't mean you are entitled to anything just because someone else made some money. I've been broke at times in my life. I never once blamed the rich or thought I should have their money just because I was broke.

I have a plan to make the lives of Sapiens better but it involves bringing back Neaderthals (ala Jurrassic Park style) and making them slaves to do all of the blue collar work. (*gasp!) Do you have a problem with that? All the sapiens can be happy and we can boss Neaderthals around. Who gives a fuck about the Neaderthals? Eventually they could revolt, Planet of the Apes style, and become the dominant homos. Neaderthals actually had bigger brains than Sapiens. I say we make them slaves and give them a shot at wiping us out if they can.

By not paying their workers a living wage, offering shitty health insurance and little to no benefits, billionaires create poverty. It’s the workers who create the wealth, and they absolutely deserve the fruits of their labor.

If it were only that simple. Spreading the wealth to all of the workers provides zero incentive, Lets see...I could sit on my ass doing a close to meaningless job and get paid just as much as the guy that figured out how to create a business that is productive, makes new and innovative products in a timely fashion. Why be that hard working dude when I can sit back, make the same bank putting labels on a box?

A living wage? ultimately, the socialists and lazy fucks of the world will want equality, deciding that "living wage" should be higher and higher because enough is never enough. They just cranked out a 5th baby because they're morons...gee, I need more money! My living wage needs to go up because I can't stop fucking my wife without a rubber!

Welfare bums and unemployed should be put to work rebuilding our infrastructure, not getting unemployment checks while sitting on their asses playing games and watching netflix. Fuck these lazy people. I'm all for government giving unemployed money but by making them earn it, not as a handout.
