Baby Metal

Post by Winnow »

WTF?

Japanese Idols combined with heavy metal.

It really is WTF, but pretty catchy, ended up liking it!

Baby Metal - Gimmie Chocolate

The song is about them wanting chocolate! Translation not required!

Baby Metal - Catch Me If You Can

Intro to this one shows that the band has some talent. I'm not a linguist but I think the song is about catching them if you can!

Shows you can mix just about anything!

Eff you Winnow. I just watched Baby Metal for like an hour... Granted ROB HALFORD was a nice guest addition. Still hate you for this.

It's catchy. Seems gimmicky at first with the Japanese Idols but the band and music behind them is solid.

Here's another good one if you haven't watched it yet:

BABYMETAL - Awadama Fever

and this one as well:

BABYMETAL - HEADBANGER LIVE AT BUDOKAN BLACK NIGHT

Also, this is just a fan recording of one of their concerts, but amazing how much energy they girls have for the entire concert:

BABYMETAL live on 2016-06-02 (Full Concert)

Cool to see Halford and Su Metal singing Breaking the Law together.

I saw Rob Halford with Judas Priest in 1982 or 1983, it's a bit of a blur, was a freshman or sophomore in high school, during their Screaming for Vengeance tour in Vegas.

Biggest wall of speakers ever. No doubt I lost some hearing that night!

One of my favorite quotes from the back of the Screaming for Vengeance album:
From an unknown land and through distant skies came a winged warrior. Nothing remained sacred, no one was safe from the Hellion as it uttered its battle cry… Screaming for vengeance.
The Babymetal band always looks like they're having a blast.
