Saw this in the theaters this weekend. Not bad. They tried to modernize it by playing "hip hop" or some such music but otherwise the setting was in the correct 1920's. I could have done without the music and some of the stylization but it didn't distract enough to ruin the movie.
Good cinematography. Pretty good acting from DiCaprio and Toby (spider-man).
I haven't read the book so I don't know how well it follows it, but the story was entertaining.
I'll give it a B
