If you had to pick one of these three games for free.....

Post by Boogahz »

Got a code from Origin for a digital copy of one of three games. It looks like they're all a few years old, but...free is free, right?

Which would you go with out of these three games, and maybe a little about why?

Spore
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins

Why?

Spore seems cool for like 5 minutes but as an overall 'game' it sounds lame.
BC2: Already have it.
DA:0 Never played it.

Obviously it will be different for each person!

However this assumes you already have the Origin service installed. If not then none of the above. Boycott!

Spore was fun, but I got bored of it after a couple days. Never been a battlefield fan, and while dragon age is a cool game, I wouldn't install the origins service if you haven't already (like aslanna said).

I have been using Origin for a while now, and recent patches have greatly increased performance. I am guessing that I got this code because I have purchased a few other games through the service.

I don't expect any of these games to be something I play a lot, but I figured I might as well get an idea of which I should spend some bandwidth on. Even if I play it over a weekend, it could always be reinstalled through Origin later. I've added/removed FIFA 12 a few times already. I need to stop uninstalling when my thumbs hurt from using my 360 controller on the PC!

None of them, to be honest.

I've been eying the Galaxy S3 and also the new Window Phone 8 platform looks promising. I was thinking of getting an S3 for the next few months until the iPhone 5 comes out. I really need a bigger screen. I'm not convinced the i5 will have what I want if it's just a stretched skinny screen to make it 4 inches diagonal.

Don't derail this thread with phone talk.

I'd go Dragon Age because it is the only one that would interest me.

Spore was only really interesting for 10 minutes. Bad Company 2 was a great game but carried by the Multiplayer. I'm assuming most of it's players are now on Battlefield 3.

DA:O is a great single Player RPG and worth a playthrough if you haven't experienced it already.

Been leaning towards DA:O for that reason. Spore looked interesting just because I never really messed with the creator around release time, but I remember it getting tanked for DRM concerns. I thought the same thing about Bad Company 2 since I already play BF3. DA:O might be a decent single player diversion...especially for free :)

DA:O is really really bad compared to the recent offerings in its genre but if I had to, I'd pick it over the other two just to laugh at the horrible blood splattered faces.
